Consent Decrees Ending
At least the actual Federal ones, not the one here:
The Justice Department moved Wednesday to cancel settlements with Minneapolis and Louisville that called for an overhaul of their police departments following the killings of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor that became the catalyst for nationwide racial injustice protests in the summer of 2020.
The Trump administration also announced it was retracting the findings of Justice Department investigations into six other police departments that the Biden administration had accused of civil rights violations.
The moves represent a dramatic about-face for a department that under Democratic President Joe Biden had aggressively pushed for federal oversight of local police forces it accused of widespread abuses. The Trump administration accused previous Justice Department leadership of using flawed legal theories to judge police departments and pursuing costly and burdensome court-enforced settlements known as consent decrees to address alleged problems it argues are better dealt with at the local level.
The main purpose of a "consent decree" is a drive toward a national police force similar to what Europe has. It's what Sparklefarts wanted like all demo-commies and socialists do.
The second purpose is to get a boatload of Federal dollars to set up goofy training via crooked contracts and defray the cost of equipment that state and local taxpayers would have to foot the bill for.
Of course, everyone bitching about the "militarization" of policing would be shocked at what an actual national police force looks like and how it would operate. The only upside for us would have been being able to bid to Hawaii for the last two years of our careers.
For the Minneapolis decree, Floyd died of a proven drug overdose. In Louisville, Taylor's boyfriend shot first and the ensuing chaos still hasn't been sorted out to anyone's satisfaction. Neither case appears to rise to the level of systemic dysfunction that would necessitate a massive spending of Federal dollars.
But don't expect any changes here. The CPD "consent decree" is purely an invention of political convenience.

That would be epic, though don't we want LOWER cost of living!? I'm on a fixed income here! I thought a nationalized agency would be great, but then I learned how that panned out for Ze' Germans in WW2..... I'll pass!

This whole thing started due to a flawed premise e.g. 'blacks are being mistreated by the criminal justice system.' Pretty much it is the opposite. What percentage of Chicago murderers do time? 10% ? (No I am not talking about the Cleared Closed Other Exceptional Rate, I am talking about the Cleared Closed Arrest and Prosecution rate. About 70% of Chicago's homicides are committed by blacks, so then, who is getting away with that homicide? The Asians? So no,. they are not mistreated. Quite the opposite.

True. With a national police force you could bid to Miami. Canada has this. A lot of city kids end up in Alberta, BC and like it. The money goes far, they like the country life style, do some ranching, marry into local families. They live a healthy outdoor life Their children don't play video games.

Mexico has this. The Mexican police will ask you for money or food in Tijuana. They warn tourists to not approach or speak to police

Facts do not matter, to the Progressives or Media. But maybe an extended Video might clarify a few things. Set up cameras and use City (Tax Payer owned) video to document the Who, What, Where,When of the Wilding. Then ask the Parents / Ministers/ Politicians the Why? Put it on Municipal Cable Channel or Stream It. Why does the average citizen bear responsibility to control a small percentage of Feral Yutes.

Of course the socialists are going to make joining the national brownshirts attractive. It will then make it easier on the command staff to get the brownshirts to do the unthinkable when the time comes.
Why? They'll probably say, as they in fact have, "You just haven't invested enough in our community. You need to do more". Non-Whites can't see the forest for the trees. They get hung up on the reasons and particulars, failing to catch that it's just a fake on the way to the end game - which is extracting more unearned wealth.
