But Did They Keep the Car?

Sure, the City got their impound fees....:

  • A Missouri man who wore a police costume and allegedly brought a gun and a flamethrower to a Gage Park street takeover last year has been sentenced to probation.

Judge Carol Howard sentenced Emmanuel Wilson to 24 months of first-time weapon offender probation and 50 hours of community service after he pleaded guilty to aggravated unlawful use of a weapon in a vehicle.. She also barred him from participating in street takeovers and driving recklessly. If Wilson completes probation successfully, he will be eligible to have the conviction expunged from his record.

Wilson, of Columbia, Missouri, was arrested on November 3, 2024, after Chicago police responded to a donut-spinning street “takeover” in the 5600 block of South Kedzie around 2:44 a.m.

He was wearing a police costume when officers found him in his 2023 Dodge Charger Hellcat, which was outfitted with flashing police-style lights and a siren, officials said. Inside the car, police found a flamethrower, a loaded 9-millimeter handgun, a second firearm, fake license plates, and other props associated with takeover events, according to his arrest report.

....but confiscating a vehicle decked out to look like a squad car, along with the guns, weed, fake plates, etc would send a better message than a few hundred bucks in fines. Why don't the aldercreatures ever propose something like that?

Barred from street takeovers... isn't that illegal already? So the Judge is telling you specifically what laws not to break Must have a "D" after his name

So the judge said he can't drive recklessly or engage in street takeovers? Wow. Doesn't the law pretty much say that already in one form or another? J/O didn't care about the law, so he's going to give a fuck what the Judge says?

Unbelievable. Just crush the car into a cube, let the J/O see it happen and make him pay for it. Then put him in prison for 10 years - zero parole. And watch this nonsense come to a complete end.

Send little police boy over to my house. He can do his 50 hours of community service cutting my grass with a pair of scissors. Thursday would be perfect, 96 degree high with a 110 heat index.

I used to wear a police costume too. I retired though and I can’t wear one any more either. A judge didn’t tell me that, my wife did.

Judge Carol Howard is (was) one of the worst judges at Skokie. What happen to 1 year for all 1st gun convictions? Probably better because Judge Carol Howard would always find a was to toss a gun in a case for "1st time offenders" or 1st time getting caught offenders.

This doesn't surprises me. Once I picked up a guy with a loaded 45 who turned out to be an habitual offender with 7 UUW convictions and charged him with a class X felony, the case was sent to Skokie court house where I was instructed by the STATE that I could not testify to the facts of the case. I was a bit confused and asked why. She said that the judge will not allow me to state the facts, so I told her, you want me to lie? She's like no, well then what do I say and she made up a story. I immediately objected and adviced her that if I go on the stand that I would inform the just that in being instructed to lie by the state because it is being ordered by the judge. The State's Attorney walked out, came back in 5 minutes and we were dismissed and this was the day of the trail. I still wonder WTF happened with the case. I'm my humble opinion I feel that judges are bought by these damn criminals. To me it was nothing personal, if the guy walked, oh well.

Judge Carol Howard was also the "judge" who ruled in the case involving the release of convicted cop killer Alexander Villa. in October of 2024. Villa was convicted in the 2011 murder of Officer Clifton Lewis. Villa's attorney alleged evidence was withheld in Villa's conviction. Then SA Kim Foxx, etal. agreed to the defense motion to reverse the conviction.

Guns, drugs, plethora of fake license plates, under a false pretense of authoritative identity and all transported ACROSS STATE LINES. One would think there was a "home run set-up" in there somewhere for "meaningful" punishment.
