Conehead and Fata$$ can whine and protest all they want, but if someone gets shot by a law enforcement agency - local, state or federal - within the city limits, then there better be a Chicago Police response at the very least and a sizable presence of Chicago Police to establish order.
You want Federal troops in Chicago? Because failing to show up at a shooting scene is how you get Federal troops in Chicago. It's also how you lose the next two decades worth of elections.
Hein needs to be in handcuffs and appearing before a Federal Judge. He can give up Larritorious or Conehead to save his own ass.

Sad to say, a lot of right-leaning national blogs and publications are writing this as "local police failed to respond." Your leadership (I use the term lightly) just threw the force under the bus, big time. And optics do matter.
Wowie! So federal law enforcement calls a 10-1 and we're ordered not to respond. Citizens on the scene call 911 about shots fired, a woman shot and an unruly mob on a Chicago street and we're still not to respond. The Chicago Police Department has officially hit a new low on Oct 4th, 2025. This will become national news...and the CPD has become a national embarrassment.
Of all the possible ways to respond to this our bosses and politicians picked the absolute worst option. To the vast majority of this country (who support Trump and ICE btw) the CPD are now overpaid cowards on the side of child traffickers, Mexican cartels and ANITFA. And to the normal everyday taxpaying citizen (who has no opinion either way) the CPD is unwilling to respond, intervene and protect when there are desperate calls for help. The last actual police officer to retire from this place please turn off the lights on your way out.

Isn’t it amazing what happens to people as they go up the ranks. When Hein came on, I’d bet he would’ve never ever imagined he’d give an order for officers NOT to respond to help other (federal) officer that were calling for help. How much people change from when they come on the job. I’m sure he’s getting political pressure from the mayor, but how do u live with yourself or show your face anywhere after u give an order NOT to help other officers. He has totally lost his way, a complete pawn of the supt and mayor and someone the entire department just lost any bit of respect they may have had for the guy.
