Three Guesses

Another "no cash bail" success story:

  • Two Colombian men accused of stealing thousands of dollars in cash from an ATM attendant’s car on the Northwest Side have disappeared after being released on electronic monitoring.

On September 7, a 66-year-old ATM attendant parked his car in the 6600 block of North Oliphant in Edison Park and walked to a nearby restaurant and bar to service a cash machine. When he returned, he found his rear passenger-side window broken and a backpack containing $10,000 in cash missing, according to a Chicago police report. Surveillance video showed two men, one acting as a driver and the other breaking into the car, police said.

[...] Both men were charged with burglary and with driving and vehicle registration violations. Because those charges are not detainable, Judge Susana Ortiz ordered them released on ankle monitors, according to court records. But those records show neither man showed up for court on September 22, and Judge Anthony Calabrese issued failure-to-appear warrants for both of them. They had not been located as of Tuesday night.

So....:

  1. hiding locally?
  2. ICE custody?
  3. or Columbia?

Ten grand split two ways isn't going to get you that far.
