Traffic accidents are still one of the leading causes of injury or death of Officers:
A 33-year-old woman was given several citations after she ran a red light and plowed into a police car Thursday night in Fuller Park on the South Side. Around 10:50 p.m., the officers were in a marked squad car going north in the 4200 block of South La Salle Street when a silver sedan going west ran a red light and struck them, Chicago police said.
The officers were taken to an area hospital where they were in good condition, police said.
The sedan driver, a 33-year-old woman, was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center and was in good condition, officials said. The woman was issued four citations: disobeying a red light, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and operating a vehicle without registration.
Too soon to ask if she was an illegal unfamiliar with driving on cold, icy streets?
In any event, get well soon Officers.

In Australia, at a Hanukkah event, two terrorists shot and killed multiple people attending the event. Where guns are banned, only criminals and terrorists have them. I'm going to bet the shooters were Muslim. Is anyone in the West going to wake up before it's too late or are we all going to keep pretending all is well? Once worked with an officer handling an accident with blue lights on pulled over to the side of the road and writing the accident report. A pickup with a trailer went to change lanes to get around them and the trailer came off the hitch and and rolled into the back of the squad car. The asshole Commander made it a preventable accident and then wondered why nobody would buy tickets to the Xmas party.

Why, when the car doesn’t pull over you have to do an eluding report which takes you off the beat for an hour. Then the beat has no police service. Snelling is not solving paperwork problems.

To 02:11:58. Yep. Most people are unaware of their surroundings. I was working a side job last year in a large room. The only way to enter the private room was a huge double side door and you had to walk up a flight of stairs. After 3 hours, the majority of people had no idea where they entered. We are doomed as a society.

Nothing like cruising at 80 on the xway and watching groups of cars,most likely stolen, weaving in and out at 130 or more. Once they fuck up they take a dozen cars out with them. And insurance is just a dream. Better off staying home
