- "I'm not a security guard - I'm a security monitor. I only notify people if there's a robbery....there's a robbery."
A 23-year-old Calumet City resident who has been arrested six times in Chicago this year, including multiple times on the CTA, is accused of sexually assaulting a disabled woman after pushing her out of her wheelchair at a downtown Red Line station.
During a detention hearing on Saturday, prosecutors said the 33-year-old woman was riding an inbound Red Line train when Rasheed Griffin boarded her car near Belmont around 2:45 a.m. Thursday. As the train continued toward downtown, Griffin allegedly wrapped his legs around her wheelchair and began kissing and groping her while saying he wanted to perform sexual acts.
[....] Video allegedly showed Griffin wheeling her off the elevator and knocking the wheelchair over, sending the woman to the ground. She landed on her stomach and struggled to breathe from the impact before Griffin climbed on top of her, pulled down her pants, and sexually assaulted her, according to prosecutors.
The victim screamed that she was being raped, drawing the attention of a CTA customer service agent who summoned a security guard. The guard took a picture of Griffin as he fled and sent the image to other security officers and CPD.
That's just great:
- "I'm a security monitor. I only notify people if they're being raped....you're being raped."
Six arrests this year, four of them in the past two months, and free to roam the rails, raping a wheelchair bound woman.
Gee, it's good thing he didn't have a bottle of gasoline.

No wonder the feds want to suspend funding this crime ridden hellhole.

You’re on your own in this City. The demoRats defend illegals and criminals with little to no prosecutions and get out of jail cards, while demonizing citizens who want to exercise their God given Right to defend themselves and by creating victims with progressive policies.
She’s another victim who will live the rest of her life asking herself why me, what could I have done to prevent this?

The problem is nobody wants to get involved or help their fellow man. On May 1, 2023 Daniel Penny came to the aid of his fellow passengers on a NYC subway train by restrainting Jordan Neely who was harassing and threatening fellow passengers. Penny put Neely in a chokehold and Neeley died. Penny was indicted and stood trial and was acquitted of criminally negligent homicide and was acquitted. Neeley's father has a wrongful against Penny that is pending. This is one of the reasons your on your own in the Democrat's two tier justice system!

Inter-con security and Monterrey got a 71 million dollar contract a few years back to hire 300 security people. Crime went up, not down. A small portion of that amount could hire a army of "Daniel Penny" types to clean things up. Maybe a "Bernhard Goetz" too.

Officer Novit worked in the 1970s-80s. He dressed as Superman as a joke on Halloween night while he was an enforcement officer but it got so wild that he continued on until the media and defense attorneys said he was making a mockery of violent crime. The best stories were the probable cause hearings on Belmont when Art showed up in a shirt and tie and the offender would blurt out, "That's not my arresting officer...I get arrested by Superman!"

One of the guys on that team went down into the tubes on New Year's Eve wearing a tuxedo with his girlfriend who was wearing a lovely evening gown. As they were waiting for their train one of the mole people announced a robbery and was shot dead by the tuxedo wearing off duty officer. Shooting was good, guy had a gun. Talk about making an impression to your girlfriend...
Security guard was removed and became security monitor because it was considered threatening at SXU also removed were cuffs oc and the asp security monitors were instructed to take notes and call for a police officer and take no action.
