In the early 90s I saw a drunken off duty try to pick a fight with some feds at Dugans after a softball league. After that I went back to school using tuition reimbursement.
The drunken off duty eventually made the news and got fired.
I went on to 27 years, prior military, some promotions and a nice pension check.
Goals in this job should be to do some good work, don't make avoidable mistakes, and get that pension check after you max out.
One way to avoid mistakes is staying out of late night bars.
