Conehead Hates Police?
For a guy who hates law enforcement, he sure has a lot of cops watching his ass:
Manny Whitfield has served in a Chicago city government role for seven years, and said he expected to be on track to one day become the next deputy mayor for public safety.
But those plans came to a crashing halt last Thursday when Whitfield, serving under Mayor Brandon Johnson as director of violence prevention and community safety, was shown the door.
[...] Whitfield also said he and Gatewood had to prod the mayor to show up at the hospital for fallen law enforcement members, a part of the job he says is crucial for the mayor to do. Whitfield said he fears there is a culture of hostility toward law enforcement among the mayor and his senior leaders.
Given that Conehead's policies of embracing ILLEGAL ALIENS that commit crimes, murder firefighters and shoot college students, it's surprising someone would finally say this out loud....and that anyone would actually report it.
To be honest, we wouldn't want him there anyway.
But it seems like the Machine might be gearing up to launch Conehead.
(FYI - there are still a bunch of people posting that all 150 of Conehead's security people are making E-3 pay. The only people making E-3 are the twenty-plus body people evenly divided into two squads. All of the other officers watching the residence are making regular patrolman salaries. The sergeants are the ones making commander pay. That's the way it was before and as far as we know, continues.)

Brandy Johnson has to go! He will leave the city worse off than he got it from Lightfoot. I didn’t even think this could be possible.
Most of his security detail is stationed at city hall or at least that’s where they’re supposed to be. I know a few of them that take field trips to their old districts for about 5 hrs just to rub it in our faces that we’re not the right shade of minority to be in his detail.
Mayor Johnson is a dead beat. Vote him out with his 6% approval rating. That is the percentage of error. So he could be at zero percent approval rating.
It appears Gatewood and Whitfield who got canned are blowing the whistle on the worker who they called out for poor job performance who was in Conehead's upper and inner circle. Could this person be called a "desk dollie" to the high bossman in charge?
Any Lieutenant, Sergeant and P.O's with any integrity or ethics would walk away from the mayor's detail.. let them fill it with these DEI, fake cops or community members . You guys should have a little bit of class and go back to the watch and stop being scared bitches. Especially that's sergeant SV driving around like he's Delta Force Seal team 6.. What a stroke..

I’m not sure commanders pay was always “the way it was” years ago; however, if you were part of the mayors detail and didn’t screw up-and a few did-you were assured promotion to sergeant. I knew two in 013 who did just that. Great guys who would have made sergeant regardless of that assignment. Like everything else on todays CPD the process has been corrupted.
Conehead didn't want to go to the hospital because every time he goes they hook him up and shock the shit out of him! Him and Pritzker should be the last two showing up!

Get rid of sworn Law Enforcement, put them back in the districts and use the community violence goons as his detail.

My question is do the taxpayers continue to pay for Conehead's personal security after he is booted from office? We pay for Daley's security. What about Lightfoot and Rahm? I am not sure of the rank level of pension given to the security detail, but I do know police officers are at sergeants level and the heads of the detail are at commanders level of pension. The others in the mix I really have no idea. But, I believe all of this should be stopped. If you actually look at the pay scale, there are many who are getting enhanced pay and pension for various titles.
If you read the article in the Sun-Times there is a strong movement to consolidate all black candidates and run only one so Johnson can get reelected. The author admits that blacks should vote for blacks.
The last time I had access to the information, each member of the detail is given a large clothing allowance and they get extra time off and never have to use comp time or personal days or sick days, they are covered

What happened is that the hiring qualifications have been depreciated to allow more candidates. (DEI) Mayor Pete was big on depreciated standards when he was BiDengs DOT guy. This leads to an increased washout/dropout rate because you had to be performing at a high level to become certified and the unqualified candidates could not make the cut. At the end of the year you graduate fewer controllers. Shortage was the end result.
