That’a disgraceful mayor showed up to the funeral an he late and waltz in the church like nothing is happening.

I always watch Ch2 for funeral coverage because of Kris Habermehl. He always gives a heartfelt description of what's going and is very genuine. He mist definitely is a police and supporter.

God Bless Johns family, may they find peace, love and comfort. Johns brother did an awesome eulogy to his brother..such a sad, disgusting and senseless tragedy that definitely could have been prevented. RIP brother John.
Watched some of the service and it was just heart wrenching looking at those kids and his wife. Sad and depressing day indeed. Then I turned on the morning news today and COPA released the video of an OIS back in March. A day after an officer is buried and his partner is laying in a hospital bed fighting for his life. They couldn't have waited a few weeks or a month, it had to be the day after the funeral.
Sometimes two things happen at the same time and our brain connects dots incorrectly.
My daily prayers will continue to include our two brothers, the most recent Chicago tragedies of fellow first responders.

I was a volunteer traffic reporter and spoke with him daily on our two way radios. I think he was also a volunteer firefighter in the Western Suburbs. He has a lot of pilot, firefighter and copper in him. He can dissect the elements of a crash (air or ground) almost instantly.
There's an episode of Adam-12 "Elegy For A Pig". No matter how many times I've seen it, it's still hits home and gives me goosebumps.

I saw it on Channel 5 - coverage was quiet and respectful, camera work well-planned.
At least we had a beautiful spring day to remember, the assembled did not have to contend with bad weather. All honors rendered with great dignity, precision, and perfection.
I'm crying again.

Why was this one term Democrat, racist and police hating mayoral gangster at the funeral services of a Chicago hero. He is as phony as a $3 dollar bill. The Superintendent outshined the slug mayor in all of his actions, words and deeds as he participated in the memorial services. Bandumb was a useless appendage looking uncomfortable and lost. Maybe he was thinking to next week where he could get back to police hating and more racist commentary.

We had volunteers working late placing blue ribbons in River Grove to get everyone for his final resting place. Luckily, I work from home and was able to bring my police memorial print out for the procession. But I started choking up seeing the long line of police cars.... I noticed the Harwood Heights Facebook page recently poised a question about the SAFE-T Act and I'm right along with them ......
Not to sound rude but we used to have thousands more members years ago. It makes a huge difference.
