How Bad Is It? (Los Angeles)

This bad:

  • As of today, LAPD is not allowed to pull anyone over for:
  • - Expired tags
  • - Non-functioning tail lights
  • - Cracked windshield
  • - Broken sideview mirrors
  • - Illegal tint
  • - Loud exhaust
  • - Missing license plate
  • Because it "disproportionately affects Black and Brown people."

Exactly what the democrats are trying to do here.

At least there's a list that LAPD can refer to so as to determine which Laws the "oppressed" people don't have to obey.

In the meantime, we'd be taking suspension time for more than a couple of these violations.

Did LA (Lunatics and A$$holes) codify this in a municipal statute? Would an officer be violating an actual law pulling someone over for one of these offenses? Is there a penalty for the officer who does enforce a law that is required for people to follow? So can anyone just let their tags expire without penalty?

If Spencer Pratt doesn't win for mayor of LA, that election was stolen. You should watch his brilliant commercials. He did great in the debate calling out the mayor and city council member on their bs.

A recent article: LA city council members aligned with the Democratic Socialists of America - LA (DSA-LA) are intent on seizing oversight power of LAPD away from mayor and police commission and placing it directly under city council control.

If you want to see how bad it is in Los Angeles watch their mayoral debate between the 3 people running for that office, Spencer Pratt, a former media personality, Mayor Karen Bass, Dem and City Council woman Nithya Raman, Dem. Pratt lost his home in the LA Palisades fire and is now living in a trailer in the rubble of where his home was.

Bass and Raman are both left wing radical loon ticks who are responsible for the decline of LA. They both live in multi million dollar homes. 16,000 people were burned out in the fires. Bass was warned that conditions were present, high temperatures, Santa Ana winds and the potential for fires. Instead of staying to goveren the city she went on a vacation to Ghana, Africa.

They found that the water reservoirs that feed the fire hydrants had been empty for some time. And LA lacked fire trucks to handle the fires. She and the other ballon head have the audacity to run for mayor. They should be in prison and another ballon head Kamala Harris, Dem is endorsing her. Gee, doesn't this sound like Chicago, Cook County Illinois? That's how bad it wherever you have radical progressive Democrats. It just keeps getting worse.

The Democrats are causing chaos, and of course, you’ll have to elect more Democrats to find out what their solution is to fix it. In the meantime, we all suffer. Hang in there; this insanity will end.

Newsom's 'Golden State Start' promises 400 free diapers per baby as California grapples with budget woes

The state allocated $7.4M last year and Newsom seeks an additional $12.5M through fiscal year ending June 2027

In its January budget overview, the Legislative Analyst’s Office (LAO) noted that while the administration officially projected a $2.9 billion deficit for 2026-27, the long-term outlook is far more dire. The LAO warned that the state faces structural deficits ranging from $20 billion to $35 billion annually over the coming years...

Why is it that its always the "Black and Brown" communities that DONT have to follow laws??? If you cant beat them then join them...fuck it, do the same as them, why pay for anything since "certain" communities dont have to. They all think they above the laws and dont have to pay for anything. Dems are now very desperate for votes since midterms are coming up.

This goes to show just how prejudicial the leftist media And it’s tool politicians is. Many brown skinned people are highly responsible drivers and motor vehicle operators, but the Democrat left his lumping them all in with the irresponsible ones in our society of all colors Who endanger other motorists and pedestrians with their irresponsible and erratic driving habits. Now the families and children of the brown skin people are just as much or more in danger from reckless and responsible drivers than drivers and pedestrians of other color other races. Once again democratStupidity and lack of logic and common sense shine through. What an insult to the minority community of LA and Connie Fornia

Whether this becomes municipal ordinance or not is irrelevant. The LAPD is the employer and may restrict they're employees as they please as long as the directive does not violate criminal law or place the public in danger. LA is a fucked up City but the state of Illinois has them beat. Up until May 7th, all of California LE agencies including LAPD still chased assholes all over. None got away. These pursuits are/were often live streamed by news choppers.

During Covid, over here in Houston, a politician ordered police to arrest anyone noticed masking up. Even of they were driving in their car alone. The Houston Police Union said officers enforce STATE LAWS AND CITY ORDINANCES. NOT EDICTS. And police would ignore and not enforce edicts.

That is what I want to know. Chicago, Cook County, and the state all openly say they draw legislative districts based on the racial component of the population. If the Supreme Court has said this is illegal, can anyone here file a lawsuit to get rid of these racial based legislative boundries?

Let's be honest...THEY JUST KEEP MAKING THIS JOB EASIER AND EASIER! Show up, do a couple of reports, get lunch, go home. Unfortunately for our pension, the true objective is to replace police with " violence interruptors ",
" crisis intervention " and civilian report writers. All unarmed, all civilian. Its already happening. The dismantling of the Crime Lab is part of this. They already have the public bullshitted into believing that cameras can deter crime . There are less and less officers on the street already. If the union really gave a shit they would include a provision that the city has to maintain a certain amount of hiring/ manpower in any unuion contract. No one cares. Take care of yourselves and each other. Take your time getting to jobs. Do the bare minimum. Give them what they want. Stay fetal my friends.

SCC, a question if I may (and others may chime in as well)...

Scenario:

I decide to venture out to (crime-ridden district here) on a whim. I purposely pick the shittest gas station with the mope brigade hanging out front because I just decided that's where I wanted to stop. I'm thirsty. I go get a pack of cigarettes/juice/whatever and walk back to my vehicle (business casual attire) hoping to be approached but making no effort to draw attention to myself other than existing. Dude Inc. decides to approach me for a robbery. *BANGBANG BANG* He drops. I have CCL.

The debate is this.

I have no right to go to "bad" places "looking for trouble". My argument is I can go wherever I please, I'm just situationally aware and prepared to defend myself. He says I'm a vigilante. I don't see that as a problem.

What say you (or the class)?

LAPD Special Order No. 3 (2025)
This directive does not ban stops for things like expired tags, broken lights, or illegal tint.
It says officers may not stop a vehicle solely for most equipment violations unless they can articulate a specific public‑safety threat or reasonable suspicion of a more serious crime. Its just a cover, you can still pull them over. Don’t make a stop solely for a minor violation unless you can justify it with safety or suspicion.weaving, erratic driving, unsafe lane changes, speeding, rolling stops, failure to signal, following too closely, crossing the center line, drifting in the lane
