So it seems that the City is garnishing a portion of the FOP president's paycheck for that most recent judgement. For a guy making over $200K annually, that's an issue.
Now it turns out that his current romantic interest is employed by the FOP in some capacity....that's another issue.
And the romantic interest is attempting to get the Secretary of State to remove a lien against her vehicle (which has been parked behind the FOP Lodge building for a year or so)....using an attorney with the same name as the Lodge's Labor Attorney....which is odd to say the least.
And we all know about the unusual restrictions placed upon any sort of inquiry into viewing the Lodge's finances, which may or may not be an issue for an outside investigation along with the State Lodge issue.
So many issues and so few explanations.

It’s his 2nd term. All the money stealing allegations didn’t arise until part way into his 2nd term, at least not at a well known wide spread level. I’d imagine he’s on his last leg, but getting cops to vote on their own union representation has always been an issue. You may not like John, but I've never had an issue when I've called FOP and someone can't take the call, I've always received a returned call and my questions have always been answered. Jim J. has taken numerous calls from me regarding retirement and has spent time on the phone with me answering my questions. Danny has been great any time I've talked to him and so has Monica and Mike. Everyone I have dealt with has always been knowledgeable, helpful and nice. My comment is a response to comments saying everyone there is useless.

Look, Mike Mette is a solid guy. He has been through it as a police officer look it up. I’m not saying anyone is perfect, but he’s someone you can legitimately call at any time of the day, and he’ll be there for you. He goes beyond to help officers that are in call back and or no pay status. He’s extremely knowledgeable when it comes to Department policies and our union contract. He also holds retreats for officers going through stuff. I believe he will make a great president. Plus he spoke up against John the dictator and got banned from the fop lounge. That’s insane a vice president of the union can kicked out of a union building because he accused the president of misusing unions dues.

I was a huge supporter of John when he first ran. He actually wanted to do good for the FOP and the officers. I really believe he did a good job his first term so I voted for him on his 2nd term. Things have gone progressively downhill since. He has become an asshole to everyone. Doesn't give a shit about the FOP or it's members and just rakes in the cash and uses the FOP credit card with impunity. I'm still pissed he bought himself a new truck while still using the "old" truck. This guy doesn't just need to GO, but he needs to be arrested, indicted, and spend considerable time in prison. He is worse than useless.
