It's not a vacation fund for the Executive Board:
There wasn’t a single meaningful discussion about grievances, discipline, working conditions, benefits, manpower, or the problems facing the men and women actually working the streets. Instead, so much of the meeting was about approving money for trips, events and other non-essential expenses.
One that really stood out was the Board approving $10,000 for John Catanzara, Mike Cosentino, Dave DiSanti, Steve Olsen and Rob Noceda to take the food trailer to New York for the 9/11 Memorial.
Don’t get me wrong. I think every American should visit the 9/11 Memorial at some point in their life. I just don’t expect to pay for their trip.
How does spending $10,000 of dues to send these guys to New York serve the membership? How does using our dues to buy food to hand out to people who aren’t even Lodge 7 members do anything for the men and women who paid for it and are left behind working the streets?
Were dues-paying members offered the opportunity to go? Was the trip opened up to the membership? No. Instead, the trip goes to Board Members who don't pay dues and are already receiving Commander or Captain salaries or generous Lodge stipends.
What business does the Lodge have in New York? NYPD runs with the PBA, not the FOP.
Why does the food trailer have to go along - is The Big Apple is running low on hotdogs? Who's paying for the food and do the members get to inspect the receipts and books? Why five people? And why these five?
This doesn't sound like an appropriate use of Dues money because no one can define how this is being used to benefit the membership.
By the way, wasn't the FOP Golf Outing a good time yesterday? A bit warm, but a sunny day. We shook hands with a number of members of the Executive Board, including the big man himself....twice....to our internal amusement.

Vote for active officers that JCat talks shit about.
Work is stressful enough. You shouldn’t have to worry about your union doing shady stuff. Get these people out and strive to make the FOP what it is supposed to be.
If JCat gets taken out in cuffs by the FBI then sure vote for them, they’re the ones who called the FBI in the first place. But if he isn’t vote for anyone you want just not them.

Going to New York with $10k of the members money . He was there five years ago with others who have since been banished .

This Fop Board should have charges brought against them for not standing against his whims and wishes . This may be John, Cos , Double D and No see dubs last trip for a while .

Good, means you don't have a vote then ! Retirees shouldn't be able to vote in Union elections ! No skin in the game really ! No offense ! I do plan on being retired at some stage also and will also believe that I shouldn't be able to vote on things that affect active officers !
Member Demand for Inspection of Books and Records — 805 ILCS 105/107.75
Pursuant to 805 ILCS 105/107.75, I am a voting member of Chicago John Dineen Lodge #7 in good standing and request an opportunity to examine the Lodge’s books and records of account relating to Lodge-issued credit cards for the period January 1, 2025 through the present.
Specifically, I request to examine records reflecting charges made to Lodge-issued credit cards, including monthly credit-card statements, transaction records, expense reports or reimbursement records associated with those charges, and records identifying the Lodge officer or employee to whom each card was issued.
My purpose is to verify that expenditures of Lodge funds through Lodge-issued credit cards were made for legitimate Lodge purposes, were properly accounted for and authorized, and were consistent with the Lodge’s Constitution and By-Laws and the fiduciary responsibilities associated with the expenditure of Lodge funds.
I am requesting inspection in my capacity as a Lodge member and for purposes relating to my interests as a member.
Please advise of a reasonable date and time at which these records may be examined.

When is the federal investigation into the Retired Chicago Police Association going to happen, especially Harold Brown and Dave DiSanti? Retirees paying dues should take a close look at the RCPA’s board members and who is receiving compensation. If board members are being paid $10,000 a year, retirees have every right to ask: For what? What exactly are they doing to benefit retired police officers?
In my opinion, this organization has done little to nothing for the retirees it claims to represent. There are serious questions that need to be answered about its finances, leadership, compensation, and possible conflicts of interest, especially when some of the same individuals appear to have connections to the FOP BOD.
If these allegations are accurate, then the appropriate state and federal authorities should investigate whether any laws, regulations, or nonprofit requirements are being violated. Retirees deserve transparency, accountability, and answers, not a cash cow for insiders.
Ok, so the board authorized the charges……now what?
All you need to do is look at the NYPD benevolent association social media pages and look how a real Union operates. We are a circus act with these clowns.
Good luck, members have been asking for years. Expect a letter from the attorney denying you.

Harold Brown is in charge of the Lodge gift shop and he should be fired . Disanti is the bag man who took 10k down in Florida for the dinner and gave it to Catanzara. He’s going to New York again . How many free trips has this guy been on ?
