Off Duty Shooting
An off-duty Chicago police officer shot a man twice after being attacked and punched in the face on the city’s Southwest Side overnight, according to a statement released by the Chicago Police Department.
Police say two men were injured, including the the one who was shot. That offender was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital in fair condition and is now in custody. Another man who had been standing with a group on the sidewalk took himself to Mt. Sinai Hospital in good condition.
The officer who was attacked was taken to an area hospital for injuries sustained during the altercation, police say.
Sounds like he shot the guy who reached into his car and punched him.
No idea yet how the second guy got winged.

Same thing happened in Humboldt Park in the ’90s. Too many guys were hired without proper background checks, then put back out there with guns, and some of them ended up shooting, wounding, and killing each other because they had to “keep it real.”

This is what happens when you keep doing easy recruitment campaigns at all the little village CPS high schools. Our recruitment section is a joke. Go to these high schools to get their “easy numbers” instead of putting in actual work, going out of town, going to colleges every week, going to other department events and actually trying to recruit candidates. Instead they go to the little village and pilsen schools and to the BS city colleges and sign up as many as they can. These sre all city college kids.
