I wrote about this a few times before. They are building a data base of all police officers (but there should not be a data base of criminal gang members!!). It’s easy to get police officer’s identity for a data base. They can photo you on the street with all your identifier's, star, name, unit. If you pose for CPD awards, facebook they are photographing the photo in the printed media or on the web.
It is not illegal to take photos on the public way but can you or ordinary citizens be put in a database. With all of the other data mining websites out there now it will be much easier for criminals, terrorists to use this information to find out police officer’s personal information and link it to their homes and families.
Maybe they are going to use this information to identify officers at the DNC or other street protests.

What am I supposed to think? I'm just a peasant suffering under the burden of a criminal govt. I don't have a 6 figure salary and pension like its gang members. Large percentages of my earnings are seized to support the tax eaters that don't pay anything.
I'd much rather see the records from the SF86 database that was hacked way back but it is what it is. That would reveal many of the Fed criminals that live among us, as opposed to the local ones. But it doesn't bother me when the surveillance goes both ways. Let the collapse come, the survivors will have their ideals recalibrated.

They can get your ID pic from a FOIA request, or if it was previously used in any investigation that involved you. Or the department could be willingly giving pictures to them. They don't need to hack anything. Your ID and the picture on it are department property, which makes them public information.
Caution: Don't search yourself they may trap that information.

They already have everyone's info. As long as you don't upload a picture of yourself, what can they do? They're not going to triangulate your location and dispatch a photographer to your house.

Do you really think the government will stop their censorship with Tik Tok? Censorship is undemocratic and violates the basic principles of freedom. Censorship is the tool of dictators.

The only units that have access to work I.D. photos are Personnel, the BIA and maybe COPA. If I had to guess, I’d say your photo was leaked.

Tell me about it. Did sone offsite training for nato and this broad kept trying to take my picture, I told her I don't want it taken wtf! Couple years later guess what I got in police mail- damn photos of me in turtle gear from f'n nato training smh and those are the one's she sent me
