Chicago Plague Spreading

As predicted, and verified by a downstate reader:

• Off-Topic but downstate lawman here. The other day we had a pursuit with two misunderstood Chicago youth using a stolen prescription pad to get opioids. Long story short, after they were apprehended they told us they were being coached in Chicago that it is ILLEGAL for the police to chase them so they ALWAYS run from the cops. They legit couldn’t understand us chasing them. And, fun fact, ISP couldn’t join the pursuit.

We said this years ago, not only for the "No Chase" policy, but for any bad behavior - if you reward it, you'll get more of it....and the reward could be as little as zero consequences for misbehavior.

Primary example - Crimesha's non-prosecution of all sorts of misdemeanors led to a skyrocketing shoplifting, theft, public morals charges of all sorts, and traffic violations through the roof.
