Flamethrower?
- A Missouri man faces firearms and other charges after Chicago police
said he participated in a donut-spinning street “takeover” early Sunday
in Gage Park.
Emmanuel Wilson, 30, of Columbia, Missouri, was dressed in a police costume when CPD officers arrested him in the 5600 block of South Kedzie around 2:44 a.m. Sunday. The real cops found an assortment of takeover paraphernalia in his 2023 Dodge Charger Hellcat, which was equipped with police lights and a siren, including a flamethrower and a collection of license plates, according to his arrest report.
Officers responded to Kedzie and 57th Street after cops on-scene declared a 10-1 police emergency because takeover participants were throwing objects at them, the report said.
One of the arriving officers immediately spotted Wilson’s car, painted in “black-and-white” style police paint with the words “Pit Enforcer” emblazoned along the side. It was equipped with a fake Texas plate, “911 STRIKER,” according to the report.
We've seen these "flamethrowers." Tesla used to sell them as a gimmick to melt snow.
This one looks a bit more dystopian:
Chicago has quite the reputation as a place where you can get away with almost anything due to Crimesha's non-enforcement policies. This guy had a flamethrower, a pistol, 60+ grams of weed and a car tricked out with siren, oscillating lights and a black-and-white color scheme not unlike what LAPD has.
