Conehead Shooting for 5%

Maybe his approval rating will fall even lower?

  • One of the policy positions that has earned Mayor Brandon Johnson his 6.6 percent approval rating is his insistence on putting the interests of illegal immigrants ahead of the citizens who actually live, work, and vote in Chicago — especially the black voters who put him in office. Johnson's latest reaction to being personally sued by the Trump administration, along with the threat of losing billions in federal funding, proves he hasn’t learned a thing. If anything, he’s doubling down.

This week, Donald Trump announced a renewed push to strip federal funding from sanctuary cities — places like Chicago that have turned themselves into magnets for undocumented immigrants by refusing to cooperate with immigration enforcement. The president posted on Truth Social that he’s working to “withhold all Federal Funding” from any city or state that allows these “Death Traps” to exist. It was classic Trump: Provocative, broad-brush, and guaranteed to make headlines. And it sent Brandon Johnson’s press shop into full spin mode.

Instead of grappling with the policy implications or the staggering risk to essential city services, Johnson’s spokesperson Cassio Mendoza went straight for the buzzwords: “Unconstitutional,” “unlawful,” “vigorously defend.” Mendoza assured Chicagoans that the city complies with all federal and state laws — a bold claim given that sanctuary policy, by definition, limits cooperation with federal immigration authorities. However, Mendoza’s real job here wasn’t clarity. It was damage control.

Here’s what’s at stake: Johnson’s 2025 budget includes $2.72 billion in federal funds. That’s not pocket change — that’s the lifeblood of the city’s social services, housing programs, and public safety operations. Chicago Public Schools stands to lose another $1.3 billion. The CTA’s Red Line Extension, Johnson’s pride-and-joy transit equity project, would get kneecapped without $1.9 billion in federal grants.

The Contrarian article is far too extensive to quote fully, so you're best bet is to head over and read it all. It pays to be informed as to why Conehead is probably going to end up jacking up taxes and fees even more once he uses even more non-existent tax money to lose in court.

I love it. America is built on laws. Democrat politicians think they don’t have to enforce or follow the laws. Which is so Un-American. I can’t wait for mayor Johnson to be voted out. He has zero chance of getting re-elected. Even the people who voted for him are complaining on him.

He really is beyond dreadful. Can we send him a one way ride to St Helen's so he can fully mimic Napoleon, and not just in over spending? Notice, we'd skip Elba, where Napoleon escaped. He can leave like Napoleon left France on April 28, a few centuries ago. Can't we send him to LA or NYC or another blue hell hole with a one way ticket? He's going to receive a massive pension anyway. Can't we entice him to shed his stupid somewhere else? Maybe send him on a long journey in space? His brain already lives in space. His body and big mouth should follow. He'll pollute space, but out of sight and all... Pity, El Salvador is out of the question.

Stay strong, his destruction won't last much longer.

Let’s not forget, the Pritzker defunded municipalities that wouldn’t follow his unconstitutional laws, namely ones that affect the second amendment. These are laws the judges have said are unconstitutional. He can do it, but he doesn’t like when it happens to him.

Did you hear about the democratic senator that's going to El Salvador to check on the recently deported MS13 gang banger and human trafficking scumbag. He's flying there to make sure he's all tucked in his bed and warm and cozy. I never thought I'd see in my lifetime, politicians defending and supporting criminal terrorists but here we are. The media and too many Americans are supporting this scum bag. They hate America and Americans and haven't hid it for quite some time. Also, did you hear about the coordinated attacks on different prisons in France. The West and its love of all things 3rd world and criminal is being destroyed quicker than any of us could have imagined.

Why the fuck is Chicago getting $2.72 billion in federal funds? This shit has got to end! Why on earth would people paying Federal income taxes in Montana be subsidizing Chicago? Absurd.

He's the mayor of the CTU, not the city of Chicago.

It's amazing how these "tax and spend" politicians never see themselves and their failed ideology as the cause of the problem. Chalk it up to more of those "Chicago values" we hear so much about.

On another note, does anyone know the quality of cocaine available from the First Deputy's niece? And can it be safely picked up at 35th & Michigan? Asking for a friend.

If we lose the Federal Funding, does the pension fund lose the City's obligation to pay its share into the pension fund. This maybe the out the Democrats are looking for to stop paying into the pension funds. This way the Democrats can blame Trump when our pension fund goes bankrupt.

Trump's pit bull Stephen Miller out-talks Fox News reporter, tells him why this MS-13 gangbanger can't come back. But 3/4 of the screen is rotating pics of the punk, looking so benign; why?
