I went to CPS, so I thought it was correct.
Several years ago, there was an article in the paper that the average SAT scores of suburban high school students were higher than the average SAT scores of CPS teachers. I believed it then and I still believe it now.

Not surprised. My liberal neighbor was a teacher for a suburban district that pushes a ton of DEI stuff. She had a pretty generous salary & a lot of time off. I can’t count how many times I had to explain definitions or spell stuff - me with my cobbled together post HS education and her with her Masters in Education.

Early on the job, I wanted to try and finish my degree I started pre CPD. I was always a working student even b4 CPD, so I was used to the challenge of balancing both. I signed up for one of the degree mills that held classes at the academy. I was one of 6 in the class. I was embarrassed at how dumbed down the classes were. At some point, my parent got sick and I didn’t sign up for another quarter. Maybe it’s stupid but I would’ve actually been embarrassed to have that degree. It was clear that school only cared about the guaranteed tuition reimbursement.
