Wow!

We just hit over 525 visits in a single day (Monday). This was a number we weren't expecting until at least the end of the year with a little more publicity material and word of mouth. We know part of it is civilians wandering in (we can tell by the number of advertisements that pop up in the comments section) but still, 500 is a good number to be at. In the last 7 days, we've received over a full quarter of our visits. We might hit 10,000 total visits around the end of the week or beginning of next.

On a light note, many of us love great Bar B-Q ribs. I always enjoyed cruising through Garfield Park on the Fourth of July and Labor Day. The picnickers would feed us the best damn ribs on the planet. At the time of retirement, my very favorite Chicago take-out spot was Spraggs (N. Kedzie in 011) followed by Lem's on E. 75th Street. Any nominations for BEST RIBS to travel? Who would know fine cuisine better than coppers?

Hey Northside, you're sitting a stone's throw to the best rib joint in the world! Twin Anchors on Sedgewick just North of North Ave. If I was not in LA I'd eat these three or four times a month. I can't wait to come in to town and stuff my face there until I hurt! The Homestead in Blue Island is a second.

I can remember 30 years ago that Sally's on 020 had grest ribs too. They're long closed.

Hey Crimefile,

Just to let you know, The Homestead is no longer in Blue Island... They are shut down, reopened for a short time in Evergreen Park, but then closed down...No more!!

The last message was written by a racist pig who probably is the type of copper that sleeps away the shift and looks for free places to dine or get his free pop from the Arab store. Crawl back under your rock Nazi-boy!
