Housing? Gone?

Post at the bottom of the "Interesting FOP Meeting" states Housing South has been disbanded. Can anyone confirm? We've heard this rumor once this week, but held off posting it until we could get another source. Our bad for sitting too long on it if true.

Wasn't Housing South disbanded about a year ago, with the troops being split up between 001, 002, 021, and 008?

Don't know actually about housing south, but.....wouldn't it have something to do with the availability of federal funds; I mean, didn't the feds pay all/most/a lot toward the salaries of officers assigned to public housing? Maybe the money went away....as far as 10 hour days, did the housing officers actually work a full 10 hour day, every day? don't know, just asking.....

sounds like a good reason for the feds to come in and look, not only into the ghost payrolling, but why are they paying for special emp. in the first place (maybe it was part of a bull**** federal grant, another city/Democratic politician/Daley milkrun).....

Look into FOP filing a third amended Attorney Gen. report two days after the hearing of Harej and Hallimen (the expelled members from FOP) on Sept. 8, 2005. The FOP finally disclosed their full salaries. Donahue and Capparelli signed the returns on Aug. 30, 2005, but the FOP never gave the amended returns to Harej and Hallimen for their hearings. Donahue in the first report was listed at approx. $58,000 a year - in the second report $69,000 a year and in the third report at approx. $142,000 a year for 2003. How did Harej and Hallimen lie to the media? What about Caperelli at the last FOP meeting stating the only problem with the AG report involved Donahue's car. The truth will come out. Questions...questions...questions.

Hallinen would lie about what he had for breakfast. Harje would claim black helicopters captured him and forced him to reveal the secret to scrambled eggs.

Housing South and Housing Admininistratio were disbanded and the offcers sent back to districts that have remaining CHA property, mostly 001 and 005. Housing West was combined with Housing North. This all happened about a year ago, give or take a few months. The CHA pays for the extra patrols on 3rd and 1st watch. Just like Airport having their own Special Employment all these years, no reason to cry about it. There have been a bunch of complaints regarding the CHA Special Employment, mostly based on the typical CPD attitude of "if he has it, I want it, and if I can't have it, no one should get it"! They may not be doing a whole lot, but there is NOT any rampant ghost payrolling going on. They get regular visits from inspectors at roll call and check off who verify the A & A's, so you can shitcan that rumor right now. As long as there are high rises along Division, across the street from the Million $$$ townhomes, there will be Special Employment for CHA. Which just kills the Hairspray police in 018. ha ha ha

Paragraph:

"A distinct division of written or printed matter that begins on a new, usually indented line, consists of one or more sentences, and typically deals with a single thought or topic, or quotes one speaker's continuous words."

Try using them sometime, people. I'm trying to read your views, but I'm bored after the words jumble together.

Go ahead...I'm ready for the smart-assed reply to this...but at least put it in paragraphs!

Thanks for the English lesson.
Here's a seperate thought. Get off the computer before you wake your mother up. Go to bed so you can get a job paying 32,000 a year with that masters that she paid for. Leave this site for the police and go back to surfing the net for the kid porn you crave.
No way a policeman would start criticizing sentance structure.

Wrong again, "spellmaster" (1:02:12 AM).

Here's another "seperate" thought on "sentance" structure...learn how to spell.

I am a cop...who else would sit here at 1:30 in the morning engrossed in this crap.

Some of us take pride in proper English and spelling. I've read many case reports that would leave a 3rd grader laughing.

Take some pride in your work and language...stop making us all look like a bunch of mindless bullies...and no, I don't have a Master's Degree...yet.

Speaking of mothers...my mother didn't even finish high school and she spells better than you.

Tell me about it. I'm sick of these illiterate coppers that think it is in their job description (so everyone else should follow THEIR example) to spell and speak like CPS rejects.

They are quick to rip on the "college police" for having an education, but don't tell the GED copper they speak and write like retards.

Talk about Donahue and Citywide lying. Does anyone remember when Donahue said Pleines would not be kept as the FOP lawyer three years ago. He is still there. The next thing Donahue said was Pleines would not be involved in contract negotiations. Another lie. Pleines sat at the contract table. All Lies.

That was the first thing that I noticed. A previously ostracized union electee told me from day one that Pleines was connected and dirty, and that he wouldn't be going anywhere. I see why Nolan ran him out of town. Those fuckers are all in it for themselves.

I was never in housing but I think the guys there should get first crack at any CHA special. They should reap the benefits for working in a shithole, when most of them could have bid to a nicer place. Now that Cha is profitable everyone wants in.

Plein$$ was allowed to represent officers applying for disability to the pension board as the FOP attorney. Pleine$$ would lose the initial hearing and then charge the officer $5,000.00 for an appeal which FOP allowed him to do (FOP only paid for the initial application. Then low and behold Plein$$ would win the appeal and pocket $5,000.00. There are a number of suits against Plein$$ right now by FOP members!! Bella and Dougherty both screamed that Plein$$ was gone when they won. Now Pleine$$ makes 140,000 from our dues but you never see him at the meetings like in the Nolan days!! Rats all of them.

Don't go crazy with "the guys in cha should get to work special," they only went there for the 10 hours day, not because they wanted to really work the jets. Any officer that works in a district with projects, 012, 011, 010, 013, 005, 018,021, 002, 019 (yes they have low-rises at diversey/damen) and any place with scattered site cha should be allowed to work it, or let it go back to special for everyone, like it used to be, of the districts above, and I've worked alot of them, the abla homes in 012, and rockwell gardens in 011 as well as robert taylor in 002 were absolutely the worst hands down, abla especially, filthy, rotten buildings and out and out thugs......

Hey the FOP is a union. All unions have their "connect" to the outfit, its the Chicago way. Could Pleines be ours?

Hey 9:05
Under Illinois Labor Law the FOP is a Fraternal organization, kinda like Masons with guns. Current state law does not allow us to have a real "union". The FOP is allowed to bargain a contract for us.

Not true
if you mean only a "real union" can strike that's your definition of a "real union". For the purposes of the Illinois Public Relations Act 5 ILCS 315 The FOP is the "exclusive bargaining agent for chicago police officers below the rank of sgt. and it would be an unfair labor practice for the city not to bargain with us for wages, hours and working conditions. Now if you are referring to the composition of the current leadership of FOP you may be on the right track..
