Was Seiser in Wisconsin Lately?

Just wondering after seeing this story.

And on an unrelated note, we will be hosting a little get together in Wisconsin this weekend. Bring your own food. Beer will be free (stop asking questions - it was Seiser).

UPDATE: Channel 5 has picked up the story. Drink faster please, we've got to have this stuff gone by tomorrow morning.

I agree! Let's privatize the jail, or better yet, let Chicago PD handle it. We can start the first detail of city coppers in the jail with YOU!

Duh....what a stupid idea. You really want the jail staffed by $10 an hour guards? Or do you think any city copper wants to work in that shithole? Are you out of your mind?

I do agree there needs to be some shakeup and better screening of corrections officers, but privatizing the jail is the last thing we should do.

If all these screwups don't make Crook County officials get their act together as far as facility security and personnel screening/supervision I don't know what will.In my opinion, they should scrap the entire jail at 26th.Build a massive new modern jail in a remote part of the county. At least if they break out they won't be able to escape on the California line bus.

important question on next sergeants exam:

Q: you get called to the scene of a homicide, once there you find a man swallowed by an alligator who in turn was crushed to death by a python. the first thing you should after notifying the on duty watch commander is?

A. call seiser immediately

B. allow seiser to take command of scene because he runs it.

C. direct PPO's to go get seiser coffee, because coffee is for seiser only.

D. stand there bewitched, bothered, and bewildered until seiser arrives to guide you.

E. all of the above

Always "notify the watch commander", regardless of the question.

If you take a dump, be sure and "notify the watch commander".

The guys who took the lieutenants' "oral board" quite a while back now KNOW that phrase is fucking critical to making lieutenant.

Hell, if you want to get promoted on da job, maybe you should also "notify the off-duty watch commander(s)".

Only in Chicago!

Attacks Surge in Iraq Despite Curfew

A car bomb exploded in a Shiite holy city and 13 members of one Shiite family were gunned down northeast of the capital Saturday in a surge of attacks that killed at least 30 people despite heightened security aimed at curbing sectarian violence following the bombing of a revered Shiite shrine.

It Didn’t Work

William F. Buckley, Jr.

One can't doubt that the American objective in Iraq has failed. A fellow of the American Enterprise Institute. Mr. Reuel Marc Gerecht backed the American intervention. He now speaks of the bombing of the especially sacred Shiite mosque in Samara and what that has precipitated in the way of revenge. He concludes that “The bombing has completely demolished” what was being attempted — to bring Sunnis into the defense and interior ministries.

Our mission has failed because Iraqi animosities have proved uncontainable by an invading army of 130,000 Americans. The great human reserves that call for civil life haven't proved strong enough. No doubt they are latently there, but they have not been able to contend against the ice men who move about in the shadows with bombs and grenades and pistols.

The Iraqis we hear about are first indignant, and then infuriated, that Americans aren't on the scene to protect them and to punish the aggressors. And so they join the clothing merchant who says that everything is the fault of the Americans.

you only notify the "off duty" watch commander when you work in 005, then you must notify Capt. C/W in all instances or "you will pay!"

The city should take the jail guards and make them city cops. They are better trained so the hiring practice would be quicker!

if a notification to an off duty W/C is made out of the city...say in a south suburb with a 708 area code; shouldn't the charges be collect?
