Can't Keep Their Mouths Shut

On 02 March, we ran this thread taking Howard Dean to task and quoting Napoleon about not interrupting your opponent while he is making a mistake. The democrats are at it again. Instead of letting Bush and the Republicans stew in their own juices regarding the recent Dubai Ports issue, the immigration/borders debacle, and other minor missteps, Russ Feingold (D-Wisconsin) decides now would be a good time to enter a "censure" motion that has ZERO chance of passing and basing it on a series of unproven allegations he attempts to pass as fact. And when the Republicans attempt to call the measure for a vote, the Democrats say, "well, just hold on a minute - we don't want to go on the record here, do we?"

All we can figure is that as Hillary moves right to set up a run for President, Fiengold is attempting to sew up the fever swamps of the Left. Why? We don't know, because an out and out leftist is never going to win the White House and might even drag down the national ticket. Which we would welcome. So keep on talking Russ. Howard needs all the help he can get.

I'm first, and perplexed. After we cast aside all the cheesehead jokes, I must admit that most people from Wisconsin are pretty stable. They might not know what life is like at Keeler and Wilcox, but would any normal person have any clue about what we know? How they elected an idiot like Fiengold is beyond me. How we elected Carol Mosely Braun, Rod Blagojevich, Durbin, et al. is more disturbing. Save yourself-march at St. Judes!!!

Don't kid yourself! Wisconsin is the largest welfare state in the country and is looking to keep it that way.
The ONLY Wisconsin coppers I would even slightly trust are in Milwaukee. Outside of that they'll hang you in a heartbeat! Don't let em fool you!

The Wisconsin cops don't care about H.R.218! If you are not properly carrying a firearm they will bust you. Loaded weapons in the trunk are prohibited. An FOP medallion or sticker will invite a ticket.

If that is true, I would love to have them arrest me. Then I could join the thousands of lowlifes waiting for the payoff in federal court for a false arrest beef!!

We all know that most of you country bumpkin type guys from Chicago will probably have open beer in your car. Or be drunk from the night before out at the tavern.

I go up to the Lake Geneva area almost weekly.

I have been stopped over the years by Fontana, Delavan (car & boat),Lake Geneva (boat), Walworth County and one or two other departments.

From what I can tell, as long as you are polite, and it is daylight, and you have not been drinking, you should be ok.

They all seemed like good guys.

I have also seen some of our guys drive like asses.

I even learned about their pension.

Years of service + age = 75 will get you 75%. Thought that was interesting.

Walworth County can lick my bacon strip! Nothing but cowboys who will try to fuck you anyway they can. They almost seem offended when you treat them with a bit of respect. Milwaukee is never a problem, city and county. They're decent guys who have the same problems we have, i.e. nitiwt bosses, questionable union, terrible benefits, etc.

Bush had been saying that he was proposing $3.5 billion in “new” money for first responders. However, his budget tried to cut more than $1 billion out of existing grants to local police/fire departments to fund this. Then, in August of 2002, Bush rejected $150 million for grants to state and local first responders. Bush’s decision prompted the President of the Firefighters Union to say, “President Bush, don't lionize our fallen brothers in one breath, and then stab us in the back by eliminating funding for our members to fight terrorism and stay safe.” The President of the Virginia firefighters association said, “The president has merely been using firefighters and their families for one big photo opportunity.”
