I want to take this opportunity to extend my profound gratitude to city tow truck driver, Wes Matthews.
Last week, I was down on the lakefront in a desolate area walking my dog near my parked auto with an FOP medallion displayed.
Mr. Matthews pulled up in his white city tow truck and informed me that my auto was parked in a "TOW ZONE".
At first, I thought he was joking. He indicated that enforcement action was necessary.
Based on past experience, I initially thought Mr. Matthews may be a mere tool for more First Amendment retaliation .
But, sure enough, the completely vacant area did in fact indicate that I was parked in a tow zone.

True story:
Back in February some meter maids hit the Pilsen area and cited multiple cars in the area, including some PO's personal cars, but probably not intentionally.
These two silly, goofy broads on 2nd watch, that are known for some ridiculous stunts and call themselves "working coppers" in the 012th District(an oxymoron), went and pinched the first meter maid cow they saw for "jaywalking."
Ballsy? Yes. Stupid? Definitely. If you're gonna go through the trouble, make the case or hammer their cars with parkers too. three or four per car would do the trick. Go recon their parking area over by the Dept of Rev. and well, you know.
After this happened, the wrath of the meter maids descended upon the 012th district station and they cited numerous copper's cars around the station.
Word was that they were given instructions to do so.
I'm all for the retaliation, but how many coppers do you think are gonna DO or DID something about it? In 012 even?
They're all crying: "We don't get any respect," "I can't believe these people," etc, etc.
They just put their tails between their legs and opened wide for that spoonful of SHIT.

Yesterday, I parked at 180 W. Washington, paying six bucks to park for two hours.
Approx. three car lengths in front was a loading zone sign, pointing n/nw on one side, and s/se on the other. No where on the street was there aonther sign indicating where the tow zone was.
Yes, the sign pointed in two different directions.
There use to be a second sign one car length west of the sign, but that was removed.
Two hours later, I returned, as my car was about to be hooked.
I asked if I could take it, as he had not hooked it yet, he said, yes, I did not identify myself.
I then asked him why I was being towed, he said because I was in a loading zone. I showed him the confusion with the sign, he said it did not matter.
He said the loading zone was the entire block, from this pole to "That" pole.
I then asked him why he would tow me, if the loading zone did not identify the zone as a tow zone, he said they can tow any illegally parked car they want.
I asked, why then do some illegal zones say tow zones, and others don't.
No answer.

I have never seen this Blog before now, and have never spent much time in Chicago. However, a few things seem readily apparent for Chicago P.D. cops:
-You all need to make your own "residency" requirements, i.e. find a better job and leave Chicago ASAP!
-The "third-worldization" of America's declining inner cities is accelerating (the comment about another Detroit was right on point). It's not worth sticking around for a future/pension which likely won't be what you want.
-Living Well is the best revenge. Continue your education, brush up your interview skills and update your resume. Find a place that appreciates you.
-Sometimes Doing the Right Thing must be its own reward. I wish you guys luck in what is apparently a no - win situation. Watch your six as the flame of civilization flickers out around you.

I was watching TV News on the latest "bullet through the window killings" re: Nugget White. Interviewed was Arnie Dun-kin who blamed all of the "bullet through the windnow shootings on the NRA. I would bet that there is a extremely small percentage of Englewood residents that are members of the NRA. Mr. Dun-kin showed that he is just another loud mouth asshole liberal Democrat who has no idea what he is talking about.
