Trying to get a strong police presence together for the city council meeting on the vote for the shithead street sign. I believe it is on the 29th of March. If anyone can confirm the date put it out there. Hope to see some you guys there. I think this would be a good idea as I am sure it would bring media attention. Whats going on in the Area-2 D unit?
I have never heard so many detectives complaining. Moral is at an all time low.
When they opened up the bids several periods ago, numerous detectives bid out no one bid in!
In the past only a handfull of dicks would sign up to take the SGTS. test. I was just told the number this time in Area-2 is around 40 to 50% and may be higher.
So, what is going on? Why is the clear up rate so low?
I just took the dicks test should I be worried? I am taking the STGS. tast maybe that will come through first.

Nothing unusual is going on in Area 2. If morale is belived to be low and if there is a lot of complaining, it can't be more than any other area or district in the city.
About the same amount of people signed up for the Sgt's test as every year. So what?
The clearance rate is about the same as other areas except for Area 3 which doesn't have as many murders.

You are right on track! Too bad most guys fall for the lesser of the issues. The pension is what you work your whole career for (if you are lucky and good enough to make it that far). The pension is currently underfunded. If we allow the pension issues to not be of primary concern, it will not be there for us when we need it.

Are you smoking "crack" or what???? Give away .6% here and maybe 2 or 3 percent there and before we know, we'll be funded even less than what we should be. The problem with the pension giveaway is that Donahue did it without asking anyone else about it. The young officers on this blog better wise up, at some point in time you will be hitting that 29 & a day and you're going to want money for more than a few years. The last thing that you're going to want to see is that your pension check doesn't take care of bills and leaves you nothing extra. No one ever thought that those of us with Social Security benefits would have the benefit cut by 50 - 60%.
Don't be stupid, strive to have that pension as funded as it can possibly be!
