Media Bias Part CCXXXIV
Persons of the leftist persuasion (and a quite a few middle of the road types) are absolutely convinced that we're losing the War in Iraq. The "polls" tell the story of declining war support and democrats are claiming to have better ideas, methods and plans (all without revealing an iota of actual idea, method or plan - kind of like John Kerry's campaign).
How about these numbers from MyElectionAnalysis.com:
How about these numbers from MyElectionAnalysis.com:
81, 76, 50, 49, 43, 25
What are these numbers? This week's Powerball winners? A safe deposit combo? New numbers to torment those poor b*stards stranded on the island in Lost?
No, they're the number of troops that have died in hostile actions in Iraq for each of the past six months. That last number represents the lowest level of troop deaths in a year, and second-lowest in two years.
As the website notes, everything isn't peachy. The insurgency isn't about to collapse of it's own accord. But we certainly aren't losing the war. Not by a long shot.
And where do these numbers come from? The Brookings Institute - a liberal think tank. We wonder why this isn't being covered in every paper and news magazine in the country (not).

At this rate the number of our young one's lives wasted there will soon be ZERO.
Hopefully because we'll be long gone from that armpit.
(1st in, last out!))
Let's just nuke the Middle Beast and get it over with.

And every last one of them might have made a pretty good copper. God bless them and their families.
the middle east will make millions for a lot of american corporations...the corporations make money and the employees make money....the federal government taxes everyone and the cycle continues.....we cant nuke are new baby money machine....it will grow into a very prosperous venture....most people look at what's happening today....the smart(wealthy)arelooking at what's happening ten years from now.....did you know dick cheney own seven companies that are contracting work in iraq...one of them is called KBR they supply food to most of the troops and contractors in iraq.....you know how much they charge per meal $37.50.......now multiply that by three meals a day....and on top of that multiply the number of troops and contractors being served every day....wow that's a alot of money....for the rich and powerful they make money....for us middle class hacks...we lose family memebers.....remember the best time to buy property is when there is blood on the streets.....GOD BLESS OUR FALLEN TROOPS....GOD FORGIVE THOSE WHO PROFIT FROM THEIR DEATHS...
It's not so much the amount of troops dying, but is what they're dying for WORTH it? In war death and casualties are all but certain. It's my fear that this cause isn't worthy of the sacrafice of our young men and women in uniform. The President,Secretary of Defense, and certain members of congress have yet to make a tangible case for our invasion of Iraq. Hopefully, when this is over, the American people won't look back with sorrow and regret like we did over another war thirty years ago in southeast Asia. But no matter the outcome, our military has served with honor and valor and should always be remembered.
Uh oh, some one is in BIG trouble! SCC, wanna bet who gets indicted first? Bush or Daley??

Vets May Be Denied Health Care
Associated Press | February 28, 2006
WASHINGTON - At least tens of thousands of veterans with non-critical medical issues could suffer delayed or even denied care in coming years to enable President Bush to meet his promise of cutting the deficit in half - if the White House is serious about its proposed budget.
Denied

It would be a waste of time to indict the President, as he could simply pardon himself for any criminal acts he may or may not have committed. After all, what would he have to lose with this being his last term?
Looks like officer was driving a Hummer and the two bad guys were in a white pick-up with fire fighter vanity plates (possibly stolen). Appears McNulty is the street Dep. so hopefully it will work out. Glad the officer is ok, and killed them both! He deserves a couple of medals.
I fully support our troops. Our men and women in the military out there deserve our respect.
I am against our current administration for putting our troops in harm's way so their Haliburton stock will pay dividends. I still believe this war was a personal vendetta by George W. because Saddam "tried to kill my daddy".
I was all for going into Afganistan after the rat bastards that pulled off 9/11, but somewhere during that time George W. was allowed to cross a line.
God Bless our troops and I personally am hoping they come home safe and sound very very soon.
say Golding do us all a favor and go find a woman and get laid... maybe she'll keep you busy and off the blog... and if you already have a lady should'nt you be in the bed laying the pipe to her instead of boring us with all your liberal B.S.

Woohh!!
Only 25 American families last month had to deal with the death of their loved ones in a bullshit war against the wrong people. (Hello, we could have just gone into Iran from the east, we didn't need to surround them.)
Only 25 American families last month had to twist their brains into a pretzel to convince themselves that their loved one didn't die in vain.
Only 25 American soldiers who should have been doing better, more important things lost their lives for Bush's war of avengeance.
Yep! It's getting better everyday.
The other numbers for the past 6 months: 1,492 American Soldiers wounded.............
No one has said that the 25 deaths weren't a tragedy. But (thanks to the goalpost movers of the democratic party) a falling casualty rate is a sign that we are winning. The insurgency is losing ground and power and ability to inflict harm.
