According to the www.PetitionOnLine.com site, the son of the late "Chairman Fred", Fred Hampton, Jr., started a petition entitled "We will NEVER FORGET the Massacre on Monroe", addressed to the "Chicago City Council".

Just watched the News. Kennedy high school was a good and very safe school up until two years ago when they "opened up enrollment boundries". Now according to officials, the school is very unsafe and fights break out daily.
I know nothing about the school or its racial makeup but if I were a betting man I bet I could quess who is the root of all evil. Any Info ????
Kennedy seems to have been going downhill for past number of years. Couldn't speak intelligently about the exact make-up of the school but I can tell you the problems they have on the Archer/55th st triangle are due to the animals waiting for the E/B bus. Draw your own conclusions.

Fellow members of the Chicago Police Department,
The month of May has passed. Traditionally this month has been a time in which we honor police officers in our department for their heroic deeds. It is also a month in which we remember those who have paid the ultimate price for their heroism, their lives. Memorials are also held during the month in Springfield and Washington D.C. Many members of our department have attended these events proudly. For the first time our department conducted a Candlelight Vigil to honor the memory of our fallen officers.
The Candlelight Vigil was hosted by the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation. This is a new organization dedicated to honoring the lives of our fallen officers. One of the goals of this Foundation is to fund the building of a permanent memorial to all Chicago Police Officers killed in the line and the performance of duty. Funding for this project is an enormous task. This memorial will be built in the Gold Star Family Park and will be the site of our future Candlelight Vigils.
I am honored to be a part of this noble endeavor. The department is currently supporting the Foundation with a t-shirt campaign. In the future weeks, each employee will have the opportunity to make a commitment to “always remember” the sacrifice made by the brave men and women of our department by participating in a payroll contribution campaign. Contributions will be used for the building and maintaining of this memorial. In addition, contributions will be used to assist the Foundation in its future goal of providing aid to the families of deceased officers.
As always, I wish you to be safe as you protect the City of Chicago and its citizens. You are all my heroes.

The Kennedy student was actually a really good kid that has a scholorship to college and honor student. He was attacked for standing up to some gang bangers and telling them to stop doing something in the hallway. The school is a big mix of almost everything, although lately it seems to be mostly hispanic. The offenders were black, victim white. Sad that a good kid will probably have to transfer schools because he will live in fear for the remainder of the school year from all the other animals that are upset by the attention this has caused.
It's nice to see so many names on the petition, and many from the area. But I had to laugh at the 58 names on the other one, most not even being from this area!! And several from NYC!? Oh - and we're on their sites Top 25 list, if you go to the main page, they have a link to the Top 25 petitions for their site! Over 1700 signatures, let's keep 'em coming!

4 students charged in school beating

CHICAGO -- Four Kennedy High School students were charged with simple battery last week after they attacked another student, beat him to the ground and broke his nose, Chicago police said.
Donnell Quante Little, 18, of the 4500 block of South Lavergne Avenue, and Quinten McKenney, 17, of the 4400 block of South Leamington Avenue were released on bail after the attack, police spokeswoman Monique Bond said.
Two other boys, both 16, were released to their parents' custody, she said. Because those boys are juveniles, their names were not released.
Simple battery is a misdemeanor, but the charges could be upgraded, Bond said.
Police said the four attacked an 18-year-old classmate about 9:45 a.m. Wednesday morning as he was in the auditorium at Kennedy High School, on the Southwest Side. Police don't know what prompted the attack but said the four ganged up on the victim in front of other students.
The victim was hospitalized with a broken nose and bruises, Bond said.
Chicago Public Schools spokesman Michael Vaughn said he's uncertain whether the student who was attacked will return to Kennedy.
"I'm sure the school will reach out in any way it can and offer counseling and services," he said.
The four charged in the attack have been suspended for 10 days and will face expulsion, Vaughn said.
Hmmmmmmm based on the Tribune newspaper... one would never know that the four offenders were BLACK and the two students beaten were white.
Wonder how this story would of been written if it was the other way around.

The media wont report the race anymore when the offenders are black because for the most part, it is a foregone conclusion.
They wont report that for the last 75 years or so, black males have been impregnating black females and not stepping to the plate to be fathers to those children. Black females, for the last 75 years or so, have been having multiple babies from multiple black males who refuse to be anything other than sperm donors, because they have been taught by the white government that we will throw money at them for their bad behavior!
The mostly white government is content with throwing our money at them, which really only rewards bad behavior, instead of educating them to the perils of young males growing up without a father, and the probability that these fatherless males (who havent been taught how to act) will become criminals because of it!
Where is Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Meeks, Paul Jakes, etc., etc., when their people need them the most? I dont know, you tell me what leadership they have provided to the black community, except to organize stupid meaningless marches everytime some kid gets blown away by gang gunfire!
Its a hard pill to take, but until a major change is made within the black culture to stop the fatherless baby making, we all will be relegated to the racism, violence, and yes, the rantings of Malcolms little brother trying desperately to make the white race beleive that the problems with the black community are entirely the fault of the white race!
Address the problem at the core: NO MORE FATHERLESS BABIES-PERIOD.
Whatever it takes to accomplish this!
The black politicians will fight tooth and nail to tell you that the problem is elsewhere, and the fault of whites, but if they push hard enough, maybe our grandkids will have a better place to live!
