- If the City Council can ban foie gras, a fatty liver delicacy that most Chicagoans have never tasted and cannot afford, why not ban a product that's known to cause obesity and heart disease? We think we already have a mechanism in place to take care of this - it's called a "free market." If people don't want to eat fries or fatty food, they'll stop. Plain and Simple. We don't really need aldercreatures (especially aldercreatures who don't look as though they've missed too many meals) telling the rest of us what to eat.

The City Council is considering a measure to ban DI-HYDRO-MONOXIDE which causes about fifty or sixty deaths a year in Chicago.

Will the F.O.P. and P.B.P.A. or the Media, please file a Freedonm of Information Act request, to find out what the policticans are offered in the may of medical plans, and what are their retirement benefits.

Do it yourself! Anyone can file a FOIA request, and when you do not get a response, you can file a federal complaint, which are taken very seriously. If the City refuses to give you the info, then call the papers and ask them to find out why.
Too many of us find it much easier to sit and do nothing and hope someone else does all the work. This is partly why we are in the situation we are currently in.
Effective July 1, ALL police officers are required to wear the new uniforms by Versace!
We will work very hard to try to reimburse you the $8500 you will be required to spend for these new uniforms.
However, we already wear Versace.
