News flash!
This post is timely, as I just received information from an attorney at a prominent Chicago law firm who states the "Burge Report" is being held up because it directly implicates numerous political heavyweights. Specifically, it places blame in varying degrees on Dick Devine, Richard Daley, and heres the big one . . . our very own Phat Phil.
Because the Superintendent of Police himself is cast in a negative light, the report is being withheld for the time being. Unfortunately, I don't have specifics at this time, as the attorney I spoke with did not get to read the report. The information is second-hand from her boss who happens to be a firm partner.
Remember. . . you heard it here first.

Yeah, they're holding the report up because of Cline. But Judge Biebel would have released it if it just implicated Daley and Devine. Who knew Phil runs Cook County? The unnamed "John Doe" who appealed Biebel's decision to publish the report to the State Supreme Court also has nothing to do with it. Your friend (who passed you the information at midnight) is probably face down, ass up with some yuppie after you spent the whole night plying her with drinks.

The son of a Franklin Park Police Department deputy chief has died in Chicago of a reported drug overdose, sources said Wednesday.
Joseph Krecker, 17, of the 1800 block of Stewart Ave. in Park Ridge, was pronounced dead at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Stein Institute, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office. An autopsy performed Wednesday was inconclusive, with a cause of death ruling pending the results of a toxicological study, according to a report from the medical examiner's office.
Krecker was the son of Franklin Park Deputy Chief Jack Krecker, Franklin Park Police Chief Tom Wolfe said. The deputy chief has been on the force for a number of years, Wolfe added.
The teen died of an apparent drug overdose, possibly heroin, according to a source close to the investigation.
Police responded to the Monitor Avenue address and found a 17-year-old male dead upon arrival, News Affairs Deputy Director Pat Camden said Wednesday. The victim had no visible signs of trauma, he added.
"It (the death) has taken a toll on the entire department," said Wolfe, who did not know the exact cause of death.
Grand Central detectives are investigating the death, but declined to comment on Wednesday.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (June 6) - Truth proved to be stranger than fiction for a high school criminology class investigating a fake crime scene when the students discovered a real body during a field trip.
Teacher Sue Messenger had been creating mock crime scenes with fake skeletons and other evidence for more than 20 years to give students in her forensics courses a firsthand look at what crime scene investigators do.
On Monday, however, 29 students from St. Thomas Aquinas High School got more of a jolt they expected when they discovered the real body in Fort Lauderdale's Holiday Park.
"The first thing we thought was, 'That's a real good dummy she set up,''' said student Juan Cantor, 15.
"I think they kind of went into shock and disbelief,'' Messenger said. "What are the odds that we would be out here?''

You just gotta love the media. If the boy was the son of a punch-press operator or a tailor, it wouldn't have made an inch of column in the papers. But because he is the son of a policeman, it runs #2 after the Zarqawi story.
This shows you that being the police is notwithstanding. This shit could happen to us as well as it could happen to inner-city kids. By all accounts, the boy seems to have good parents and had the world on a string. He got hooked up with the wrong friends, and there appears to be nothing that Chief Krecker could do.
A prayer for him and his family at this dark hour.

I have been reading this blog for quite awhile, without ever responding. However, I cannot believe the crap that goes on between fellow police officers. Listen UP! We only have each other. We don't have the supervisors on our side, we don't have the citizens on our side, and without question, we don't have da mayor on our side. WE ONLY HAVE EACH OTHER. We have to quit the infighting and start sticking together. I don't have that much time on the job (15 yrs.), but I do remember when coppers would never think of locking up other coppers, writing coppers family members tickets, etc. What the hell happened????? The purpose of this job is to protect citizens and protect each other....screw the bosses, screw the crybabies, and screw this city! Quit the name calling, quit messing with other cops and their families, and most importantly make it home safe to your families. Every ticket you write to a fellow copper or family member is money in the mayors fund. This is the same money he uses to award pieces of shit that sue us for doing our jobs, large settlements. Come on guys, we are in this thing together....be safe....and back each other up!

ahhhhhhhh bs, this blog had a funny clip. These post at times appear to be the police but are not. Post else where if you can't stomach what you read. There is good humour among the posting and a good number of darn good blog posting. Civilian citizen's will never get it and that's just the way it is ollie. I don't blog to please them and I have more than my fill at work. Pinch me again!

Not cold blooded unless needed but the word for anyone not being forced into using begins with freedom of choice. I'm tired of hearing bad friend's, parent's, or can't cope with reality in general. The ole saying goes, birds of feather flock together. Sad but true. Whether it's due to trying to fit in or trying to touch a part of yourself in an effort to short term feel good or numb one-self. Freedom of choice with a mean high.
It's all bad shit, I thought. Drug's are bad for you right!
