World's Worst Parents?

Probably not, but they're definitely in the running:
  • Stockton, California; California authorities said a mother watched in horror as her 6-year-old son fell from the top of a Ferris wheel to his death. Ruben Castillo was riding alone in his gondola at the San Joaquin County Fair on Sunday when he plunged 90 feet, authorities said. He was pronounced dead at the hospital. Officials said Castillo tried to climb out of his seat and fell. A fair spokesman said the rides have no age restrictions, only a height requirement which Castillo met.
A six year old? Alone? 90 feet in the air? In an open gondola? This is not just stupid, it's insanely stupid. We feel sorry for mom watching him fall and such, but this was beyond 100% preventable and not just by the carnival operators, but by the parents, too. Sorry, but our sympathy meter is set a little to high for this to register.

Point out where we make light of it. Please? You can't, can you? Because we don't. We even said we felt sorry for mom, but we also pointed out this is insanely stupid, probably at it's second highest level. YOU attempting reading comprehension is obviously the highest stupidity there is. Asshat.

I agree with SCC, oh well, cut from the same mold. Children are to be protected at all times. Were talkin a six yr. old. In our line of work were often left wondering, where are the parents?

the fact that you use topic as a post is shameful.

shame on you SCC, you are no better than the mainstream media trying to titillate and scandalize on tragedy for web traffic,
go ahead a brag some more about how many posts, or hits this blog gets. brag about how all your predictions are true.

whats the deal? small one huh?

As to the parent, if they see this I would hope, there were relatives that asked the question directly. Horrible experience yes, but will the parent try to turn fault around to shift blame and responsibility. Where was simple common sense here. Just a height restriction please.....Some rides are even too intense with parent aboard regardless of retrictions. Parent should have been with their child.

What do you have, rocks for brains in reference to the post? If you find fault and disdain with this blog why even bother to respond.

PERHAPS SOMEONE SHOULD THROW THE MOTHER OFF THE FERRIS WHEEL.

HENCE THE PROBLEM WITH MANY PARENTS OUT HERE: NOT TAKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR CHILDREN!!!!

and you wonder WHY so many individuals out here scream at people who work with the public, have no manners at all, etc.

It's because of all the bullshit that begins AT HOME

Um, mouthbreather? It's in the freaking papers. It's on the freaking Internet. We didn't put it there; we merely noted it. So now we're supposed to ignore the world around us just because you have thin skin? Sorry, ain't happening.

To the other asshat who said we only leave up stuff praising the bosses, can you show us where that is? We delete various ad hominem attacks, misogynist bullshit, slander backed by no fact what so ever and stuff people request to be deleted along with the usual porn freaks. Our site, our choice. We've ripped numerous bosses by name and action all over the blog. We toast the mayor every chance we get. What the hell are you reading?

Specious reasoning? I think you misunderstand. And NORTHSIDE, I am ashamed for you. I always love the fact that people rally to your side and I have always cheered them, and you, on.

But I never, NEVER said that cops who work in fast districts don't face more aggression. My post is still there. Read it carefully.

What I said was that it does not make you a better cop just because you work in a faster district. Sure, there are more batteries to PO in 007, 011, 010 and 015. That doesn't mean that those cops were workers. In my day I have seen many, many PO's get hurt who were taking police action for the first time in a year; lazy sons-a-bitches who let a drunk rile them up until their ego could no longer take it and then they get hurt physically exerting themselves without warming up.

I have respect for the working police, where ever they are. The district doesn't make you a good cop. You make the difference, not your location.

And my point about the slower districts was that some of the PO's there are there after working in faster districts, and God bless them. But pay a visit to one of the districts I mentioned and see how many people there have 7 years or less.

My bet is that Mom gets charged with Child Neglect or Child Endangerment for allowing a 6-yr old to ride alone. She certainly would be if I were on the scene. Like SCC, I'm sorry for her loss but there's no excuse for letting the child ride alone.
