ISP Shooting

Follow the links to Channel 2, Channel 7 and the Sun Times. Good job by CPD responding to the scene and the trooper looks like he's going to recover.

So is the bad guy, but you can't have everything.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't these the same friggin place??? If so why wasn't the shitbird taken to the nearest approved hospital, like his buddies would have dropped him off at, like St. Bernards?????

Inquiring minds would like to know!

Dilligaf,

As much as we'd like to just leave the POS on the street, paramedic protocols require us to take anyone with a serious GSW to a trauma center.

You know, the lawsuits come our way, too.

Signed,

Medic on your side

CPD answers the call as usual. Too bad the radio system and protocol isn't better. It's a bad feeling wanting to help and not knowing where to go. It's an even worse feeling needing help and wondering when it will arrive. Thanks again.

From an ISP Master Sergeant that spent 20 years in District Chicago on Midnights (and a guy who grew up in the city)THANK YOU for assisting Trooper Peters. Some would say you were just doing your job, BULLSHIT. The area got flooded with Officers and the Bad Guy got caught. Zach went to the hospital and if the mut lives, he goes to the shithouse. Never, ever think that the ISP takes the CPD for granted. We couldn't survive without the BLUE...ah salute!

I AM GLAD TO SEE THE TROOPER IS WELL AND SHIT BIRD GOES TO THE JOINT. REGARDING COMM'S WE SHOULD LOOK INTO A BETTER SYSTEM OF COMMUNICATING BETWEEN ISP AND CPD. IT WILL BE LEFT TO US AS WE ALL KNOW BY NOW THAT THE CITY OR STATE WILL NOT CORRECT PROBLEM. AS IT WAS SAID WE ARE ALL BLUE AND WE NEED ALWAYS TAKE CARE OF EACH OTHER.

awesome response by all the other night! Kudo's to CW1 dispatch. She did a GREAT job holding all the other traffic and getting us the info as quickly as possible. Especially since it had to be fed to her and then given to us. I think people rip on the dispatchers alot but IMO she did a great job the other night! Thanks for the good work.

See the 007th. District still comes to help you ISP....even though you DUI'ed one of our own....when he wasn't even in the car. Someone should give that Trooper a "blanket party".
