Another attempted disarming - and another happy ending (from the Tribune):
- Two [CPD] officers responded and asked the men to remove their hands from their pockets, Camden said.
Two of the men complied, but the third instead walked toward the officers. After ignoring two more warnings, Camden said, the man tried to grab one officer's gun.
"The officer was about to lose control of his gun," Camden said. "He fired one shot that struck the man" in the abdomen.

And out in Robbins, a copper shot and killed a man who was embroiled in a lawsuit against that very same officer for shooting him two years ago. The cops was also wounded by a bullet, but no one seems to know where that one came from.

In Saturday's SW News Herald Police Report, 12 arrested for threatening to KILL an OFF DUTY cop who was just trying to eat dinner at Granny B's, 71st St.

It was a good shooting. Coppers approached because he was a robbery suspect and the idiot struggled for the gun.Wrong move.

I just recently got a chance to see Pat Camden...did he get a tummy tuck and butt lift ? He looks marvelous !!

9:48 is it possible that the "offender" wasn't a thug? That the officers were "cover" themselves? Anyone with 5 minutes on the job knows there are 3 sides to every story. Yours, Mine and the truth. The only people who know what happened are the people who were on scene at the time this happened. I'm sure the family will sue the city. If they claim he is an angel, can you prove he was a criminal? Was he charged with the robbery he was "suspected" of? How do you know the family think they are going to be "filthy rich" right you don't! Idiots like you are the reason that the public hate the police.

At least Pat Camden comes off business-like and very credible. I mean Monique Bond? Didn't she used to the airports spokesperson--I guess it's all politics, huh? When she gets a tough question (or even an easy one), se gets all flustered and looks stupid which in turn gives the impression that she is attempting to cover something up--or is that just my perception of her?

Monique Bond came to Chicago from somewhere in the south as the wife of Mayor Washington's former special events person, some guy named Dibble. Biggest event he ever did was the mayor's funeral. (What a way to work yourself outta a job, huh.) Anyhow, his family has the clout and that's how she got her job as the O'Hare spokesperson. Now, even though they are divorced, she manages to keep her city jobs...incompetance not apparently a factor.
