Further Objections to Obama

In our humble opinions, Obama has hit his high water mark. There's only so far that he can run being the "anti-Hillary." John Kass writes an exceptional column this past Sunday that will be the subject of numerous investigations and commercials, not from the Right, but from Hillary's people.
  • Listen to giddy tones of the TV cheerleaders, the sweeping rhetoric about Obama transcending this or that, the breathlessness of it all. Yet pay most attention to what is avoided, and you will learn much about the heart of American journalism, and of the liberal candidate being championed.
  • Another aspect often ignored in the approved national narrative is Obama's perplexing endorsement of Chicago Mayor Richard Daley. As the national Democratic Party's anti-corruption poster child, Obama correctly lectured Republicans on corruption scandals that would help cost them control of Congress.
  • Daley's people were all around him by then, the mayor's brother Bill, and their media consultant, David Axelrod, who also is Obama's media guy. The Daley administration in Chicago is one of the most corrupt in history, roiling with federal investigations, convictions of top aides, convictions of Outfit-connected mayoral cronies, scandals costing taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars. And amazingly, the uncynical Obama endorsed Daley's re-election bid.
Go read it all. Kass is no dyed in the wool conservative, nor is he blinded by liberal dogma. He makes a lot of sense sometimes and there is no way that Obama can duck his Illinois connections in a national campaign.

I don't see where Obama is "ducking" anything! He's been upfront about his biracial heritage, his upbringing, his education, even his drug usage in his younger days. I think he's about the most honest candidate so far to announce a run for the white house. As of right now, he's got my vote!!

He wasn't upfront about his back door real estate deals with Tony Resko.
What else is in his closet?

I like what one southern black congressman said about his backing Hillary.

If Obama is at the head of the Democratic ticket, he will loose the general election and every Democratic candidate will suffer.

I hope that Hillary is at the head of the Democratic ticket and Obama is the V-P candidate, or vice versa. Then they could both loose.

Obama's religion: Christian
Obama's father's religion: Muslim

There, that sorts it out.

Besides, all religions are crack for the weak minded individual. Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, whatever -- religious people are the same as the freaks who believe in ghosts, Santa Claus, or the tooth fairy. Wake up, people. There is no such thing as God.

Most of the problems we have in this country now (and in the world) are due to the prevalence of religion in people's decision-making process. 3,000 + American soldiers dead to fulfill Evangelical Christian Bush's Crusade to recapture the Middle-East.

Stop believing in ghosts, people. Things are so much better on the other side.

1) Democrats don't seem to have to worry about corruption charges anymore. Blagojevich, Daley, Stroger here; Mollohan, Jefferson, Menendez elsewhere. Therw's enough negative press about Republicans to make it a wash.

2) Harry Truman was closely associated with the Prendergast machine in Kansas City; he hung Prendergast's portrait in his Senate office. But he was personally honest: never took a penny, except for putting his wife on his office payroll for a while. (He was eventually burned for appointing some old buddies to jobs they abused.) And he survived national attention: Republicans hammered the Prendergast issue in 1944.

Obama is too smart to sell out for cash. He might have dirty associates later on, but the Daley association won't kill him.
