Note to Tiny Brains

To the softball that keeps saying we're a "douchebag" for censoring his BS.

Some person is bitching about getting censored more often than not in the comment sections. For their benefit, we are posting this primer on how to get posted regularly on this blog.

First up, as stated numerous times before, we publish between 100 and 250 comments a day, and we publish upwards of 98% of submissions - at last count it was something like 98.7%. Almost every single one is anonymous. We have no way of telling who anyone is unless they chose a moniker and stick with it, like Rue St. Michel, Westcide, and others. So if you aren't getting published, it's because of your content.

We give everyone miles of leeway here. MILES of it. Off topic subjects, constant rumor mongering, speculation to the extreme. There are certain lines we try not to cross and certain words that get your comment flushed into the great Internet void.

• In memorial threads concerning officers hurt or dead, anything that isn't related to well wishes or prayers gets flushed.
  
• Gratuitous attacks on certain races, genders or behaviors get extra scrutiny. The word "savage" in just about any context except when used to describe behavior usually gets trashed. Just about any reference to "rhymes with Lunt" to describe females will never see the light of day. Everyone in the city who pays attention knows Huberman is gay - big deal. If he isn't doing you, who gives a rat's ass? We've published entire lists of words that are banned along with subjects that we've just gotten sick of (like the B Team and Area 2 Gun Team). Go through our archives and find them.
  
• For the most part, bosses are fair game. They are public figures and there is no expectation of privacy for public figures. Their missteps are fodder for speculations on the site and recent State and Federal Supreme Court rulings provide legal protections for comments NOT posted by blog operators.
• Out and out lies and propaganda are flushed too, as we don't feel like expending the time or effort talking to brick walls and correcting stupidity. Certain brainwashed liberal sycophants have disappeared when we denied them a forum.
  
• Ad hominem attacks on SCC are deleted at our whim. Some amuse us - others, not so.

As you might have observed, all of our posts deal with sticky issues in a very general way so as to avoid any entanglements that might arise. You may also have observed that SCC is not a democracy. This is a dictatorship, plain and simple. You have no expectation of getting published here. If you're that hell bent on spewing your bile, get a blog like we did. They're free! Then go and try to generate some interest in your chosen subject. If it's good, we'll even link to it.
