Morale Worse Elsewhere?
- A new survey found that many physicians plan to leave Stroger Hospital amid Cook County budget cuts. The poll was taken last week at a retreat for doctors with Stroger Hospital's internal medicine department.
- Given the current budget problems, the memo states that 75% of internists may leave the hospital. County doctors have always had the reputation of being some of the best in the state.
- "A lot of good people, professionals, doctors, nurses, pharmacists, are leaving because they feel a lack of respect. They are demoralized," said Cook County Commissioner Anthony Peraica.
Sound familiar?
And of course, the only solution is to get $100 million from the state (i.e. the taxpayers). Personally, we hope everyone leaves and St. Roger's goes under.

Ineffective and poor leadership leads to poor morale and desertion. Nowhere, is this more apparent than the Chicago Police Department under Superintendent Phil Cline's tenure as Commander-in-Chief.

The only lesson learned is the one after-the-fact. When it's all said and done and the hospital is staffed with inadequate doctors, nurses and other medical marvels the system will have to face the issue. Then it will be a simple matter of WTF?
Nothing in Chicago is PROACTIVE! We assess a situation after it knocks us down or embarrasses us on TV. "G-whiz, how did that happen?" or "Didn't see that coming..." Time to point the finger, play the blame game and fire someone as a sacrifice to the media gods. Pussy politics!

did you see today on the news a certain fucked up state of ours is issuing i.d. cards to illegal aliens to assist them in obtaining credit cards, checking accounts, etc. WHAT THE FUCK. You are condoning law breakers, gang bangers and drug dealers and people who are ruing this country and taking away jobs of Americans and why in some places the crime rate is through the roof. Everytime I passed up a clinic on the Westside it is full of bustouts and freeloaders i.e. WIC Folks!
I don't have a problem seeing those facilities close and watching those freeloaders have to move to another free county or city or another state even!

Doctor's morale: I once talked to the Chief of Emergency Services at Christ Hospital, which is a trauma center.

I asked him if any had ever come back to thank him and he responded we are still waiting for the first.

Now about 40% of British doctors are immigrants, mostly from Moslem countries. Problem solved! (Aside from the number of these doctors who are jihadi terrorists in their spare time - e.g the Glasgow airport and Piccadilly nightclub bombers.)
