Yeah, thanks, thats all well and good, now maybe you can organize a press conference or send it out in a press release to the papers and say the same thing instead of writing it on the F.O.P. website where few people other than the police will read. St. Louis Police Officer shot and killed
This is the 47th Police Officer to be shot and killed this year in the US. Last year there were 49 shot and killed the ENTIRE YEAR.
St. Louis Police Officer Dies After Being Shot in North St. Louis
St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department
A St. Louis police officer was shot and killed Wednesday evening an incident in the 16-hundred block of Semple, near Martin Luther King, in North St. Louis.
The officer was shot while on routine patrol.
He was 22 years old, and had been on the force for a year.
St. Louis Police Chief Joe Mokwa confirmed the officer died at Barnes Jewish Hospital.
The chief reported the officer was wearing body armor, and was shot in the chest. The bullet may have entered through the side of the bullet proof vest.
There is a massive manhunt underway in north St. Louis for the suspect, who is described as a young black male wearing a white tee-shirt. Two other suspects are also being sought. One of the suspects may be suffering from a gunshot wound.

All and all it sucks on so many levles. Youre better off sticking with your iPod and motorola phone for now- and waiting for a few generations to come out so they can add some better options on it.

I would wait for the next release. I do not own one, but have heard the battery life is terrible (like our radios). Also, you can't just buy a replacement battery, as it is permenantly fixed to the phone. You have to send it to Apple to fix, which they charge something like $60.00 for a new battery, so you are out a week or more without a phone. Apple will give you a loaner, once you shell out $75.00 for one. First releases of any electronic device are always buggy. I would wait for the 2nd one, because it will come. Hope this was helpful.

I worked with Greg when he was in 14 and 25.Truth be told Greg was the real police. I needed help when this department was trying to throw me under the bus Greg stepped to the plate and without his help I would have been fucked. signed no juice.

Im not really sure that exists within the upper echelons of this department. For somebody to step up and say it would be career and political suicide. Dispatchers in Durkin Park Fiasco Suspended
One of the dispatchers was given a 20-day suspension and the other was given 15 days in connection with the July 14 incident at Durkin Park, 8445 S. Kolin Ave., when nearly a half-hour elapsed before police arrived to quell a melee, according to the Office of Emergency Management and Communications.
They are all in Louisville, Kentucky at the National FOP Biennial conference, this week.

To the post about FOP never returning phone calls.... Listen dickhead, I am not a blind supporter of the FOP, but every time I have called the FOP they have called me back. EVERY TIME. It may not have been right away, but I did get a call back. I have no connections to anyone at FOP and yet they still called me back. Now, I can understand coppers disagreeing with some stances the FOP has taken (myself included), but I will tell you from personal experience that they do give a shit about the lowly patrolman. If nobody called you back, then you should have called them back and bitched like you are doing now. I've heard this "Well, I called the Union and they didn't do shit" stuff before. I have called the Union and they did do shit, so I think you are just on here doing the old "this Union sucks" routine. Name names, dates and times you called....come to the meeting and bring it up. I agree with the posters about the duty Disability officers, My neighbor is on D/D each year his check covers less and less as they receive no cost of living raise?
