I went on the job 3 apr 72. Left the job in 1992. We had no fto's. You went from one p.o. to another for a 6 months, and then you graduated. We had the opportunity to learn from diffrent coppers. Even if the recruit got stuck with a dick head patrolman, he still might learn one thing. When learning from one fto only, you can only learn his way. Often times not the best either. Pass the new guys around, get rid of the fto, and things would be better.

OFF Topic....I listen to WVON to see what Cliff Kelley (Operation Silver Shovel) a.k.a The Governor of Talk Radio was complaining about today. Today, Danny Davis was on there complaining about getting racially profiled over by 15th and Kedzie (10th) during a routine traffic stop. Apparently, the officer stated Congressman Davis was swerving and crossed the double yellow line. The Congressman refutes those charges and has three witnesses in the vehicle that agree with him. He did do the name drop which actually got him the ticket in the end. He is planning to stop and file a complaint...

Dick's Sporting goods sells ammo by the case. Ten fifty round boxes for just under $70.00 for 9mm. Just a few bucks more for .40cal and .45cal.

They said I could buy a gun and ammo. But would have to have it shipped to a Licensed firearms dealer and pick it up there OR have it sent to their store up in the far N/W suburbs.

I'll be going to Wisconsin for Thanksgiving and taking ammo orders from other guys at work. Early next year I'll do the same in Arizona, looking for good deals.

All able bodied males were expected to appear armed and provisioned in the event of a state of emergency.

As this is in The Bill of Rights, it applies to individuals, not the government. That means I could be a well regulated militia of one,FUKTARD!

That's a lame-ass bullet unless you're shooting a Garand, and only if you got them cheap.
If you're just blasting holes in junk, you're better off with 147gr. pulls from .308 ball.
If you're interested in REAL shooting out of a .30-06 boltgun, use the Sierra 200gr. BTHPs and IMR4350. If you're shooting a Garand, use the Sierra 168s or 175s. IMR4895 is good for that.

The history of the Constitution-- The Constitution was written (without amendments), but people were afraid of the Government having to much power, so the first 10 amendments were written (Bill of Rights) to take power AWAY from the Government. The Bill of Rights took powers away from the Government and restricted what the Government could do. The Bill of Rights is ONLY directed at what the Government is prohibited from doing, not citizens. The Militia at that time was the citizens.
The Militia in colonial times were common citizens NOT the Army or Government-- Citizen Army.
Guns do not kill, people kill. Autos kill more people each year then Guns do. Allstate does a commercial that 6000 / 8000 teens are KILLED EVERY YEAR in auto accidents! Should we ban ALL driving until they reach the age of say 25 to 30 to stop the senseless slaughter of all these teens?
When the neighborhoods that guns are a problem in clean up their act, and parents do their job, then "gun" violence will no longer be a problem.
