Once again, Frank Main keeps stealing from the site and not attributing his articles:
Is Corey Flagg just a dirty cop or a lawman at heart?
Flagg is a former Chicago Police officer headed to prison in about two weeks to serve a 9½-year sentence for robbing drug dealers.
But on Jan. 11 -- while free on bond -- he was playing cop again.
Chicago Police think he made an anonymous 911 call tipping officers that a car parked near 107th and Wentworth contained drugs.
"That is the car," Flagg yelled to officers from a white Ford Thunderbird before driving off, according to a police report.
The officers searched the car, but didn't find any drugs or make any arrests. They recognized Flagg and reported him to their superiors, who notified the feds.
We suggested that Frank sign over his paycheck to us as a thank you. We're still waiting.

I agree with the previous poster. The parents or parent of that 6 year old shot during the home invasion of ther drug house should be charged with a crime.
They are as much responsible for that child being shot as are the offenders. But they won't be. And if the poor child lives it will end back in that house. The system is so screwed up it is unreal!

I would love to see the media file a FOIA request and obtain the video of the Alvin Weems police board case.
The real story here is that the Chicago Police Board is not a fair and impartial arbiter of justice but rather a phone call/clout smoke and mirrors show to the public.
Boys and girls look outside Chicago for legal representation if you are jammed up. There are large lawfirms that are dying to enter the Chicago market. Don't trust your future to some "backroom deal".

I heard from friends that the in car camera program at academy is in shambles. The sgt running program is clueless. 25 officers and sgts pulled off the street to train officers how to use camera. Yet the officers are lost, have no clue how to train. Such a shame. A useful tool as a camera but no training how to use camera. Another example of training as a low priority in academy. Car cameras have great potential but also can be used against us. Please provide adequate training.
Corey didn't know shit on this job. Washington took him under his wing and taught him the basics but even after that he was a so/so copper "at best". Him and dink were thugs from the start and all the bosses just looked the other way. A lot more thug coppers on this job besides them; it's common knowledge but again, the bosses don't do shit. That incident happened so long ago, that the officer pled guilty, got his sentence, served his 2 year suspension and will be back in April. AND NOW THEY PUT IT ON THE FRONT PAGE?

Senior Border Patrol Agent Luis Aguilar was killed when he was intentionally struck by a vehicle he was attempting to stop.
Border patrol agents observed a brown Hummer and a red Ford F-250 pickup crossing from Mexico into the United States about 20 miles west of Yuma, Arizona. Agents on normal patrol watched as the vehicles traveled west on I-8. The drivers of the Hummer and the pickup saw that the agents were following them and turned around, heading back the way they had come, with the Border Patrol following them. As Agent Aguilar deployed spike strips, near the Imperial Sand Dunes Recreation Area he was intentionally struck by the Hummer.
Both vehicles fled into Mexico and the suspects remain at large.
Agent Aguilar had served with the Border Patrol for six years and is survived by his wife and two children. He was assigned to the Yuma Sector.

Last week, the FOP sent a scathing letter to Diaz denouncing his absence at the Jan. 12 funeral of slain Miami Detective James Walker.
But Diaz told The Miami Herald on Saturday that he was at a loss over the criticism in the FOP's letter, saying he attended Walker's viewing the night before the funeral, grieving with the police officer's family, friends and fellow law enforcement colleagues.
Walker, 30, was the fifth South Florida law enforcement officer shot dead since November 2006.

What is a DOC award? A new award for TRU unit? I would be embarassed to wear something from DOC. But then again, I would never work in a unit such as TRU. Some one actually has to answer calls and make arrests. TRU and DOC, ideas that did not exist 5 years ago.
