Can this be true?
- The current judge is Anita Rivkin-Carothers, who lists director of the 29th Ward (Ald. Ike Carothers) as past employment. She of course was recently "appointed" and is "highly recommended," whatever that means. Not his wife, but I would guess she is his sister.

Anita Rifkin-Carothers was /is Larry Hoover's girlfriend. She has visited him over 50 times in prison and that was while he was in state prison. The feds picked her up on the wire in prison. Great choice for judge. My fucking ass.
Can someone verify? If true, why isn't this everywhere in the media? Cops can get fired for associating with felons - in fact, a Superintendent was forced out over that very thing, remember?

I can verify that she defended the killers that killed P.O.Dan Doffyn on March 8, 1994. Our thoughts will always be with Dan and his family. CLass 94-4C. We will never forget!!!
J-Fed is not offically retired from the FBI till Midnight 01 FEB 2008.
He is still an active FBI agent.
FBI agents are prohibited from working for any other law enforcement agencies while an active agent.
Second, as an active FBI agent, any information that may arise during interviews with the exempt members, especially any information or allegations of another exempt member doing illegal acts (as you know, these cut throat exempt whores would love to tell J-Fed, this guy or that gal is involved with SOS or some other crimes, so they can grab the higher exempt spot) has to be turned over to the FBI. I am sure J-Fed doesn't want to be put in that spot.
So J-Fed is playing it smart. Not breaking FBI rules to keep his squeaky clean image and doesn't want to being interviewing CPD members while he is still an active FBI agent. Pretty smart if you ask me.
As for his office, he'll probably just throw a desk in the gym. The man is a physical fitness nut. Kind of like .00000000002% of the CPD

She also was 1 of the lawyers who defended that sub-human who killed a PPO in the 15th District about 8 or 10 years ago. He originaly was sentenced to death but unfortunately that was reversed.

I've gone up against Rivkin- caruthers a few times in court. She can be quite abrasive and nasty. In one particular case (a uuw by felon trial) she really showed her ass, so much so that the judge presiding over the trial had to tell her to shut up.
She is definitely biased toward the defense.

SCC, you've stated that you have no intention to endorse any candidates and think we should make up our own minds. I mostly agree but it would be nice if we could compile a list of names not to forget such as names of a couple of good judges as well as people we never in a million years would want on the bench. We can still vote no on all the ones we don't recognize.

Anita has been a GD attorney for years. She also used to show up at Br38 and improperly troll for clients.
Judges should have to campaign like every other politician. We should know all their business ( decision record in court cases).The problem is , we don't have that much info on them as a whole. We rarely know who all are running for office. Judges, water comissioner,dog catcher , whatever.I have been in the voting booth during major elections and saying to myself, who the hell are these people? Needless to say if the statements regarding this judge are true, she will definitely not be getting my vote.

Check with IDOC for visitor records when Larry Hoover was housed there before he went into federal custody. Judge Carothers visited Larry many times. Perhaps a conjugal visit or two?

Anita Carouthers is THE GD Atty! Anyone who has time on the job knows this! She defends all the high profile GD's and any others that can afford her services. yeah lt tony may be merit but he scored in the top 100. let's be real if you had a chance to be merit would you turn it down? only knowing tony for over a month he is a class act, he is all about the p/o and has something a lot of bosses are missing, common sense. so hate away for tony is here to stay.
This idiot couldn't litigate her ass out of a tight toilet seat. I had a case with a major Black Soul dope dealer fifteen years ago. She screwed-up the case so badly for old boy he switched attorneys in mid-stream and hired Sollock & Co. He still lost and went to prison but the new team put up a spirted defense for their client. She was a riot to watch and listen to. God bless minority set asides in our law and medical schools. We're doomed. As for me thank God I married rich!!!

Rivkin-Carouthers used to try murder cases with Joan Hill McClain and Eugene Pincham. McClain was real tight with TVL "T-Fly" who is now in the Fed Joint. Not surprised that she's running for judge. McClain did too. Can't remember if she won or not.

She defended Murray Blue, the convicted killer of PPO Daniel Doffyn. During the trial, she had the audacity to suggest in her opening arguments that Doffyn was not shot by Blue, but by his FTO and the whole thing was a police coverup of an FTO accidentally killing his recruit. Then, during the trial, not one shred of evidence was presented that supported the FTO angle. What a vulgar, vulgar insult of a police oifficer and an FTO. To state in open court, with the FTO present, that this officer killed another officer. ANd then present no evidence. I know the FTOs name, I won't repeat it because it is his business. He doesn't have to relive any further this insult from this bitch on this blog. But this shows how low this bitch is.
During the trial, she was able to get a retrial because the fact that Doffyn's bloodied uniformm was displayed, somehow prejudicied the jury against the defendant Blue. In the end she lost and justice was served to a degree.
Can you imagine what this bitch would be like as a judge?
God bless minority set asides? that is an insult to minorities, the woman is probably a "c" or "D" student, ethnic group does not figure into it at all.
and even if she is a "c" or "d" student, all she had to do was re-take the courses that she failed and pass and she would still be dumb times 2.
