We're getting rumors that up to seventy lieutenants and above are ready to drop their papers at a moment's notice once the new guy comes in.
That's a LOT of movement to be had in the course of two full years, let alone over a changing of the guard in the Ivory Tower.

Just rumors. & exempt spots already empty or will be shortly. Several Lt's and a few captains are pullingthe plug. That's about it. We have a bunch of young exempts that CAN'T pull the plug. Cline made a lot of people exempt. I Estimate 80% of the 125 exempts are Clines people and have been made in the last 4 years. Check it out, I could be wrong...
hopefully the botox queen in albany park with the railroad tracks on her shoulders is the first to go.

We get that rumor the end of every year "so many guys showed up to pull the pin, they couldn't process them all...they said AT LEAST 375 are going". Then about 75 go (across the board). Every year.

Merit picks are due the 8th of February (check the AMFN messages on the clear system from the first week of January), they would make a class about a month after that, maybe 3 weeks but a class the first week of March is more than likely.

Now I know who your clout was. Why would I miss Cline? Am I going miss how he fired the most PO's than any other Supt? Am I going miss him creating exempt spots for his buddies? Am I going to miss him promoting all of his buddies from Narcotics and gangs? Am I going to miss how he agreed to take Starks as his 1st Deputy? Am I going to miss is micromanaging? Happens more often than you realize. White shirts will look out for white shirts. Amazing how in SOS, only blue shirts went down. IAD always looked out for white shirts. Sgt gets a beef and they are helped. How many white shirts were involved with DV and sex crimes? I remember an exempt charged with DV then saved and is a LT. DV is part of this culture.
