- Local leaders are asking Chicagoans to turn in their guns. They're hoping for a big turn out at the city's latest gun turn-in day.
"And what we're doing in America, we're basically killing our own, especially younger people," Mayor Richard M. Daley said.
As more than a dozen of Chicago's at-risk kids stood nearby, the mayor and the police superintendent announced another gun turn-in day in the city.
"Today I'm asking every resident of Chicago to turn in their firearm -- shotgun, rifles, automatic, semi automatic, pistol, revolver… No questions asked," Daley said.
Because god forbid you have guns around when the crime running rampant across the city comes to your home. After all, didn't the governor just say he's going to send the National Guard and State Troopers to the City because it's out of control? Yeah, we know he backtracked a bit, but J-Fed still had his first meeting with the troopers to see how an agency short 500 officers is going to expend the manpower necessary to shore up another Department that's short a few thousand street officers.
If you've got a piece of crap gun that's rusted shut and wouldn't fire if you soaked it for a week in a vat of machine oil, go get your $100 card. Use it to buy a decent gun. But Daley's gun laws are going to come tumbling down around his ears in short order. No need to give away decent guns for $100. You know the criminals aren't.

Several neighbors said the violence in the neighborhood is not imported by strangers, but is committed by people who live in the community. Police have little effect on gang activity, they said.

I also watched the chanel 2 news(I thnk) and they had something on all of the forclosures in the city effecting renters. Now the news channels that can't show a white person for an opinion show a white couple from "ROSCOE VILLIAGE." This couple who probably pay 2K per month are getting evicted because the landlord is in forclosure. They then show the Chicago map with stars to illustrate where most of these are. Big guess. Get good tenants and you will be fine. This is the best market for renters because nooone is getting approved for houses.
Now that I'm venting: I know that is takes 18 months for a barrel of crude oil (what they go by in the market) to get refined into gasoline. The day a barrel of oil goes up, gas goes up. Not even close to such a % either.
I have dealt with that and really have no choice. My question is, all of these politicians that said, "Let's go after the oil companies for gouging." Helo......Hellooooooooooo. Where the fuck are they. If you can raise the price of gas 15 cents on a dollar a barel increase the minute the market closes, why has the decrease not happened after the BIGGEST DROP (in inflated speculators who are all from the fucking illegal lobbiests from the oil companies) IN US HISTORY of oil prices? The price has dropped over $15 a barrel, yet all of the gas I have bought this week have been the same. All over 4.25 per gallon.
Someone has got to step up and arrest these motherfuckers....

Because people that live in 016 are responsible and care about their neighborhood and aren't a bunch of animals.

During the Rodney King riots in California My Brother who lives there, (a resent Vietnam vet)After he saw a bunch of savages on the corner of his block he then went into his home to retrieve his shotgun along with an M16, sat on his porch with his weapons visible and at this time the other neighbors saw what he had done, they then joined him with their own weapons. To make a long story short the savages saw all these people sitting on there front porches with the weapons and did not go down that street.
