Hopefully, you're working in one of the Districts or Units that has a decent relationship with a nice restaurant or two in the area that might send over a meal as thanks for serving and protecting while everyone else is with their families. If not, we certainly wish you a nice meal somewhere during the course of the day with family, friends or co-workers.

I work in 010 on 3rd watch & have no problems with the Sgts in any such way. And the few new Sgt's we've gotten in the past year are really good!
But I'm sure the Sgt in 010 (or anywhere for that matter) know who they have to keep their eyes on! You know those people, the ones on personal concerns, retards w/ a badge, functional morons, ect.
The Sgt's ain't supposed to be your friend or clean up after you like mom!
This job is so EASY! I wonder what the Sgt did to piss you off? Handle your beat? Drop paper? What?!
There are too many police I know who couldn't be greeters at Walmart! Stop complaining! Did you know we get an extra check on the 1st? For nothing!!

This job has it's ups and downs and this median give all of us an opportunity to share our thoughts with fellow men and women who share a common bond whether we agree or not. My soon to be ex, Lawyer husband is gone to NYC with his new Male toy while I sit here alone in bed.
My daddy, Rubin wanted to send his driver to bring to my old home in Glencoe, but I am so-so down.
Not because Ira is "scum" but that I cannot be out there on my Michigan Ave foot post writing my ususal 700 plus parkers for our beloved dearest Mayor.
My uncle, Tom Byrne (rtd) said I should just work half days because the numbers are way down since Ira gave me this "Illness". Friday, I will be out there doing and getting what my Mayor loves, Revenue PEOPLE ! Do not get me red faced mad, go and hit those people that disobet the MCC and write a couple of books of parkers.
Do not be "Slugs" like the those people that call themselves "Michigan Ave Foot patrol". They are "slugs". If they write a book of parkers a month it is a blessing. Next year they will be long gone and my uncle Tom said I can pick my own (WORKERS PEOPLE) people to write parkers.

The color of your skin might not be the problem. It could be your bad attitude or poor work ethic. Persons who use the race card usually have issues that cause negative treatment towards them, but refuse to accept blame or correct their deficiencies. The alledged "racist supervisors" may treat a person poorly because of the said problems, not because the color of your skin. Relax, remember the 1st and 16th. Also, do your job Office, remember, their are other places to bid if the MAJOR overload of work in 008 becomes too much. I am not from 008, but I heard the calls, watch the jobs. You and all the members of 008 deserve great credit for doing your best considering the huge load is laid on you everyday.
Would someone please expose the ONE "CRY BABY PO" who trash talks his Supervisors in 010 so we can tell him in person or on the blog to "Man-Up" and "Grow a Pair". This jag needs to be singled out so people can be told what a b**ch this whinner is. He needs to STFU and be the Police. Go to your hole and get out of the way of the REAL POLICE. in the late 1970s and early 1980s I was a dashing and handsome patrolman in the 023rd distrct
There was a lady who I never met but we referred to her as the cookie lady
Every Thanksgiving and every Christmas, maybe on Easter too, for about 10 years she would bring us a huge tray of fabulous homemmade cookies
There were about 15 different kinds and at least 200 cookies on the tray
Like all good things, it eventually stopped, hopefully not because of her health failing.
In any case that was one of my fondest memories of working on an otherwise lonely and desolate holiday

I don't know why you special ed po's on 2211's beat are the only ones that think you pay taxes in this city. Last time I checked, I pay property, sales, gas, revenue, restaurant and any other tax these morons we voted into office put on us. And guess what.... I DON'T LIVE ON 2211'S BEAT!!!
I also don't see a squad car on my block either or very seldom in my neighborhood! Why? BECAUSE WE DON'T NEED ONE!
In my neighborhood, our kids aren't out late drinking in the parks, in your neighbors basement, stealing from any 7-11 so they can get drunk, drinking on the railroad tracks, in the cemetary turning over head stones. We are RESPONSIBLE enough to handle our own. Nor do we bother with calling about someones work truck parked on the residential street (a true waste of time) we want our neighbor to keep his job, so he can keep his family living in the style that they are accustomed.

I worked in 008 for 7 years and anyone who says the po's are racist is an asshole. I've had to work with black coppers and usually didn't have a problem at all. This must be a black female copper who is pissed she's put with someone who actually goes to all his calls. You can find any kind of activity in 008 without even trying so in the meantime stop fucking transfer and go to

So if you are the REAL Jody now you know we all are hurting with morale issues, second guessing each other out in the field due to TRUST, confusion as to where we are heading as a whole department (and individually as well) among other things........
Overall we Chicago Police are decent people but feel slighted, deceived, perplexed and basically made out to be unimportant.
Our reputation as a department that was one of quality, strength, character, mystique, awe, maybe intimidation (of a necessary sense) has been shattered by all the problems, scandals, forced retirements, indictments law suits, etc. etc.

This is to all the Policemen out there: I wanted to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving. I really do appreciate all of the hard work you guys do day in and day out. I am part of the "silent majority" out there who appreciate you guys very much. I would like to especially thank the Officers in the 024th District where i live. Even though I have gotten a couple of occassional parking tickets in the past, you guys have done a great job keeping a lid on all of the BS that goes on with the gangbangers and dope dealers. Don't beleive the media! There are a lot of us out there that appreciate you. We're on your side! Hang in there and please be careful. Sincerely, a Non cop/conservative/blue collar guy who works
