Chalkie Tours

Someone sent us this picture from South Africa. We don't know if readers are able to enlarge it enough to see the full detail, but click on it and try:

The gentleman standing at the base of the tree is wearing a Chalkie 2016 t-shirt. Chalkie is touring and he's worldwide.

That's me in front of my winter home in the Clifton section of Cape Town, overlooking the South Atlantic Ocean. With the seasons reversed from Chicago, I spend December through April, enjoying the Mediterranean climate with my lovely Dutch girlfriend and her twin sister from Amsterdam.

Since retiring, I often forget that I was a sergeant with the CPD. I often check SCC to give me a greater appreciation of the fact that life is good. I have a vineyard behind my home. The pinot noir is superb.

Happy Thanksgiving from Cape Town, South Africa.

OK--I don't think it's Roytman--the knees look too good.

It could be Bialek if he lost a little weight. His wife is a veterinarian. I heard he retired. Maybe retired life is agreeing with him.

As far as being a retired sergeant-how could you afford the security you would need to keep the lawless off your property in Capetown? I would take those Dutch sisters and move to Aruba. You can get away with anything down there.

Having been retired now for going on 10 yrs and, having moved from Chi Town to north of the Rockford Il area in a nice rural setting, I can tell you that "Chalkie" visits the Rockford metro area on a regular basis. Something like 4 homicides in 5 days with a couple of agg batts that are hanging by an IV tube. "Chalkie" walks the walk, and talks the talk wherever he visits. Winnebago county just had the chance to pass a concealed carry law at the last election but it was voted down big time in rockford itself. The more rural areas were all for it. Not too much crime out here in the "boonies" but Rockford itself is like Dodge City on a bad night.

CHALKIE is the Ghost of Paul Kersey.
He roams the Halls of Area 2, late at night, after he makes his rounds of the City, unable to rest, his thirst for vengence driving him to continue his Death Wish, against all the Vermin, the Murderers, the Rapists, the Gang-Banging, Dope dealing Filth, who are defiling his once great City. He is, the personal Grim Reaper, of the Windy City...
RIP, Charles Bronson...

Hey, boyfriend is a very loose and fluid term.

Unlike husband, or, occasionally, fiance', boyfriend implies a temporality that husband, or, occasionally, fiance', do not.

Until those wedding bells have rung, and, sometimes, even after, there's always the possibility of 'things change'.

Because, things do change.
