Just wait till after the elections, I expect your star to shine even brighter!

Much unlike Jody. Tisk-tisk! He's just digging his own professional grave.

Sure Daley has the shovel but Jody has a helping hand.

And speaking of "The Professional", it's on my Netflix for after I get that boo-boo on Election Night. Hello TV! See you next spring West Side!

O.T.--Gene Roy strikes again in the 009th dist.! This time the long time Tact Lt. A.P. falls victim to Gene and his political bullshit. Roy didn't even have the balls, what a surprise, to let the troops upstairs know that he dumped him and rather claims it was the decision of the Lt. What a fucking joke! A.P. is a good boss and didn't deserve to be treated like that so close to pulling the pin. 009 used to be a hell of a place to work, now nothing more than a place for Roy to carry out his political agenda and fuck over the working police!!

Dear SCC,

I'm a retired guy, with a kid on the job. I appreciate your web site for keeping me abreast of current issues. The Dept organs certainly fail to do so.

Keep on truckin' and the previous writer is right. You could make a good buck with ads.

as a citizen, i enjoy reading this blog. when i think my job sucks, i can come here for a while. your jobs suck a whole lot more, primarily because of issues 1-8 and including corrupt politicians, an overwhelmed judicial system and corrections system, assorted activists and Reverend assholes... the problem of course will be too many citizens coming here and f****ing the thing up. i do think the interview with jody down playing the blog was great. we have management like that where i work too. they speak in euphemism's and when we laugh at the nonsense, they get mad too. asshats! By the way, F**K the 14yr old at 69th and aberdeen. it seems to me 14yr olds should not be running around with guns. but i don't know, thats just me. maybe he was security or something.

Just out of curiosity...what incompetent goof thought it would be a good idea to put the troops in 80/20's and the crown hat ? Sometimes the comfort of the foot soldiers should come before appearance. Cargo pants have extra pockets for essentials, like mass arrest cards and flex cuffs...okay okay, snacks and sunflower seeds and bottled water is more like it. If we are going to be out there on our feet, can't the powers that be have a little compassion for us ? I don't give a flying fuck about J-fed and Aunt bea's feelings of how they feel on that day. They are the figureheads of this department and need to look good, but, they also need to say to the prees that the troops are dressed for comfort, not for show ! I know the old timers will bitch by saying that the 80/20's were good enough before so stop whining. My answer ? I worked every bulls celebration/RIOT and the cargo's and baseball caps would have been alot nicer to wear then too.

8:54 is right on the money. ER is telling everyone that the Lt made the decision to leave. All bull--it. Back stabber ER just stuck a knife in AP's back and walked away with a big grin on his face. He would sell out his mother if it meant a chance to get a promotion. But this is the type of boss that downtown wants. Now watch him fill the tact team with people from Capt G's watch. Remember, the alcoholic capt is an 11th ward lackie, so what he wants he gets. And when Capt G sticks it in ER's back it will be poetic justice.

I'm thinking, if we made a couple thousand t-shirts reading, "NOT insignificant" and "NOT timid" on the front and "Contract NOW" on the back, and if we all wore them as often as possible, we'd get a whole lot of opportunities to explain them to the media.

It would be effortless 'informational picketing'.

Re: W-E-I-S

No. they are NOT related. The ND football coach's surname rhymes with "nice". J-Fed's name is pronounced exactly like the first syllable of "WEASel" which rhymes with "piece" as in a piece of shit. .

WHAT IDIOT THOUGHT IT WAS A GOOD IDEA TO WEAR THE ROUND CROWN HATS AND 80/20 PANTS. For What? So we have a non-military look for the Messiah, better for the Olympic bid.

A $50 hat not to mention a shield with a number we may have a great deal of sentiment for. My number was my dad's and I hate to lose it to some asshole for a souvenir.
I am going to be so pissed off, and that is a risk factor.

Will they issue us back packs for the stuff we are to carry, like arrest cards, water, and flex cuffs.

I gotta agree 100%!! I have a tact team that will be dumped off at Grant Park by bus, and we will be there for the duration. Something as little as letting us wear cargo pants would be a huge asset on a day like this. But of course, it's probably some politically-connected hack who doesn't know dick about working the streets who made this asinine decision. Maybe if J-Stroke kept some of the veteran bosses who knew how to take care of the troops, we'd have someone looking out for us. But the current regime could care less about the troops on the front lines.
To All: BE SAFE AND HELP EACH OTHER OUT!!!

I have a feeling when all is said and done, if things go to shit, Neil Sullivan will end up being the fall guy. I think they are trying to protect all the exempts here and will place the blame on Sullivan. Worst case scenario, he can take his money and run and have a drink or two. Be safe everyone. What kind of karma does A.P. deserve? The man was never anything but good to those upstairs in 009 who were working policemen. You must be some scorned watch stroke who thought his "B" team work was tact worthy, or one of the dumped. No one deserves to be walked on the way that Roy treats anyone that can't scratch his back. 009 is swirling around the toliet bowl with that jerkoff at the helm.
