On the back, they pictured 15 persons convicted for False Personation or similar charges. The way the bulletin was laid out, there was space for 16 pictures. Why on earth would Graphic Arts or whoever is in charge of the Daily Bulletin leave a blank space for photo #16? We can only assume they wanted this to happen:

I do treat my troops right and they do write tickets but I advised them not to write tickets anymore, especially after two received deviations for no name tag and one for wearing his coat after he checked in. Sure they should have the proper equipment, but relax, these pimpy infractions are considered a court deviation. Now the powers that be tell us no more reprimands for a 2nd infraction, even though the order allows it. These 35th street people have really lost their minds.
Please hang on the madness can't last forever, these things go in cycles, and we have been in a rut for awhile, things have to change for the better. There are plenty on this blog who bash all white shirts, I guarantee you there are plenty of us who do whatever we can to make things better, whether you see it or not, remember we are in patrol also.

Yeah, Definitely the way to go. While you are out there get bottled water with no tax, cheaper cigs, cheaper groceries, Cheaper gas, etc. I do not shop in the City anymore and if I am going to make a large purchase it is out of Cook Co and usually in Indiana.

What a knucklehead! You cry about Big Bird, if you wore you uniform properly, went to your jobs in a timely manner and cleared when you were finished, Big Bird would have nothing to do. He would be bored. Do you honestly think the BS he writes up is his fault? This job is easy, even if your a dog a#&! You can handle the jobs assigned and nothing else and never have a problem with Big Bird or any other Inspector or Supervisor. Ummm, what exactly does he have to do in 016? How many hours does he spend there after 5 p.m. How many times is he called out during the week, okay, how about on the weekend, how many times does he have a visiting watch commander, how many nights does he have 2 sergeants covering the whole district and the desk, how many times has he had to tell tact to give up their cars to the watch or the uniformed officers will all be on foot, how many times did he have to pray he had enough working radios for one watch.
Give me a fucking break. He is totally relaxed everyday, does not have to deal with any shit, no reverends or fucked up politicians, of Jodi Weis, Big Bird nor Cuello coming to their district. They get to have the same number of inside people as 007, must I go on? This is why the department is so fucked up. If I were the Commander of 016, I would have time to do the same thing and then some.
Impress me, lets have visiting Commanders! Send him to 007 for a period, lets see how he does!

Well, here is another one for YOU...
Boy, you're quick, got to give that to you. You are posting this "hot off the press news" about, ummm maybe 4-5 months too late, as in he has been there a long time already.
Here is another thing for YOU....
He does have a fixed wing license, and while it is rotary, he still has an aviation degree in his background, and lots of experience in the avaition field.
He also was a stand up officer in 21, the best buy guy in narcotics, and he is white, and he made both Detective and SGT on his own, in the first class, because he is smart as they come on this job.
The other thing, he is not a dickhead like so many people (and I tend to think you are, without even meeting you, becasue you cry about him, and his accomplishments) who likes to brag about himself. You'll never hear him say anything about how great he is, and trust me he IS the police. In fact, you will more likely hear people who worked with him tell you what a great guy he is, and more likely they will say he is the nicest guy they have ever met on the job (unlike you).
So you're a jealous guy - get over it. I do not blame him for taking a spot, a spot he is qualified for, and doing something better for him, his wife, and his family.
Get over yourself sparky, do some work, study some, and maybe you will move onward to something better too. Or not.

Do you expect something more because you got called up for service in an all volunteer army??? I guess the free college thing didnt work out so well! I was in 011, we did more damage control to keep you "rangers" out of trouble, and yes the crs always roll in, as well as the court deviations and everything, if you want we can start doing all of those by the book too; and yes you're right, we have a super secret storage area of supervisor radios and pdts we like to hide, and a whole fleet of new cars too, grow up already.... the new whiny police are utterly amazing...

Jody and his FBIers must be driving her and the other REAL police bosses at 35th St. nuts. They can't really say what they think, they can see that Shortshanks is holding back on the budgets for cars and equipment. The stalling on the contract is political and comes from the mayor's office. The at-one-time-wore-a-blue-shirt bosses would be fair or even generous if it were up to them. Not all sgts have college-some of them don't have any-College hasn't been a requirement forever. As for you taking them down-you don't have a clue. Most of my sergeants have kept me out of trouble or from making mistakes of omission that could have cost me dearly. The few that weren't top notch-were harmless.
You must be one big f*** up to be hating so much-either that or you're not a two year wonder but someone who couldn't pass a sgt's test to save their life.
After today's meeting, I am finally in agreement with all of you, he is totally an Impersonator and is single handedly turning our department to shit.

I think you need to realize that maybe you aren't up to the positive tradition of this police department? I came on when there were a ton of Vietnam vets who would walk through fire (and sometimes did) to do what they felt they were honor bound to do for the citizens they serve. The sergeants left them alone because they were doing their job. You probably are not.

Someone struck a nerve with these alleged "Real Police" on this site. It's been my experience that the "Real Police" on the CPD usually keep there mouth shut, unless their talking about bad guys, not bad mouthing other PO's, Sgt's Lt's etc.. I know I am going to piss off PO's but as a 20+ year PO who has worked in 011, 009 and is currently in 007 (so I work), most of the "district level" supervisors I have worked for are good coppers as well as supervisors, who are and have always worked. I do have to say that some (usually merit) aren't worth the weight of their stars. I do also have to say that

The Sgt. has a pilot license and a degree in Aviation from a decent college that he obtained before coming to this department. So he does have flying experience and logged hours in flying jets.
Study harder and have the department educate you and maybe with a little luck you may get promoted too, don't bash someone you don't know because your jealous. The Sgt. is a good guy and anyone who knows him and worked with him would tell you the same thing.

A Company was RDO. Go do some work while we rest....... We can't carry you everyday! lol... We all know the westside is sleeping right now...as it warms up, the numbers will be through the roof! The MSF is a small group, divided all over. We arent the only reason for the low numbers... The West- side (Including a few in 010)Officers are the BEST the Department has..... We enjoy working along with the working Police! Lets enjoy the down time and be safe!
