Parking Enforcement Agent Speaks

Someone see if they can track this down:
  • Now...........the good news.

It came down last night at the end of the shift.

Marked CPD Squads are not at risk now.........Someone called our Deputy Director and Director and convinced them that having PEA's writing Mark Chicago Police cars was a bad idea.

    Read that line again...

MARKED POLICE CARS ONLY are getting the pass.
Not quite a capitulation, but at least following the rule of law where Illinois Statutes are concerned.

This is THE most ridiculous thing I have ever heard in my entire life. I mean, it's head shaking ridiculous.

This City is beyond redemption. I cannot believe the Mayor and all the aldermen/women have not been indicted.

Using the psychological theory of projection---when anyone or thing (government) goes after, for example in this case, law enforcement, meaning attempts are made to disengage, prohibit, interfere with the enforcement of the law, it's a sure bet and insight that there is wickedness going on.

Take a look at the DOR personnel badges. THey look just like CPD's old badges and they also wear CPD regulation pants and vest cover. So seems like they must be loving this new "jam it to police" duty.

****OFF TOPIC****
A Calumet City police officer was shot Tuesday afternoon while in pursuit of three alleged bank robbers who crashed on the Bishop Ford Freeway during a police chase.

The incident began after three alleged suspects robbed the Citibank at the River Oaks Mall in Calumet City at gunpoint about 2:15 p.m., according to Illinois State Police Sgt. Juan Valenzuela, who said it appeared the suspects involved in the robbery were in pursuit by Calumet City police when their vehicle crashed on the Bishop Ford near 130th Street near the Beaubien Woods Forest Preserve.

The offenders fled from the vehicle and one offender fired shots at a Calumet City police officer, Valenzuela said.

The officer was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn with non-life threatening injuries, a source said.

One of the alleged bank robbers was taken into police custody, Valenzuela said. Unconfirmed reports said a second offender was caught by Chicago Police near 130th and Ellis about 3:45 p.m.

The second offender was allegedly apprehended in a swampy area near the Altgeld Gardens housing project. He reportedly has a gunshot wound to one of his arms, according to unconfirmed dispatch reports.

If you're going lights and sirens to a man with a gun call and you park illegally in a tact car, how in God's name can they write you a ticket??? how can parking enforcement agents tell if officers away from a CPD unmarked vehicle are in a nearby alley looking for a man with a gun, following a thief on foot, doing a narcotics surveillance, watching some gang-bangers, etc; and are on official business doing their jobs covertly, or not? Another BRIGHT idea by our College-Edumacated Whiz-Kids...What a bunch of chicken-shit, nit-picking Assholes, on Orders of the Council on Corruption; aka City Hall/Shortshanks. No wonder Morale is worse than ever. don't pull into a no parking zone, bus stop big enough for 3 busses, or elsewhere and go out on foot after criminals, just let em get away while you ride around in circles for 10 minutes looking for legal parking. GREAT LEADERSHIP, [for the Criminals!]

They have the arrest numbers since JFed was made. JFed is aware. Da mare is aware.

They have refused to release these statistics to the media.

2008 stats for FELONY arrests were a little more than half of 2005. 2009's pace is even below 2008.

The drop is so dramatic that the State's Attorney's Office could be forced to make layoffs if the County rolls back Toddler's tax increase.

Da Mare and Da JFed are scared out of their minds. They are just now realizing that they have completely loss control of the rank and file. Surveys, tickets, denied time due, denied pay increases, these are the acts of desperate men.

The law and our contract do not demand that we do anything other than show up. We aren't just winning. They finally realized, we've already won.

OT-

Overhaul at Streets and SanCommissioner likely out after snowplow snafu, offices to be cut

May 19, 2009

BY FRAN SPIELMAN City Hall Reporter fspielman@suntimes.com

The Daley administration is mapping plans for a break-up and shake-up of the Streets and Sanitation Department that could remove layers of field supervision, transfer key functions to other departments and sweep out embattled Commissioner Michael Picardi, City Hall sources said Monday.

Last winter, Mayor Daley lowered the boom on Picardi -- and dispatched Transportation Commissioner Tom Byrne to Snow Command -- after the city spent $490,000 on snow removal during a relatively minor first-of-the season snowstorm.

The Daley administration is mapping plans for a break-up and shake-up of the Department of Streets and Sanitation that would remove layers of field supervision and purge embattled Commissioner Michael Picardi.

Picardi landed in the doghouse, even though a City Council rebellion subsequently forced Daley to reverse a cost-cutting policy that saw City Hall use less salt, plow side-streets during normal working hours to reduce overtime and skip side-streets altogether after minor snowstorms.

A longtime Daley favorite, Byrne is a former high-ranking Chicago Police officer brought in by the mayor in 2005 to clean up a Transportation Department hard hit by the Hired Truck and missing asphalt scandals...

http://www.suntimes.com/news/
cityhall/1580473,CST-NWS-
shakeup19.article

From what I saw and heard, Mike Picardi did a good job keeping the streets cleared winter before last -- and that was a sixty-incher too. I saw and took pictures of plows staging all over town, salt filled, radio crackling, driver with coffee and all set to go if (when) it got worse. Picardi was out there on the radio at 3 AM getting reports on conditions, etc. "Yes Sir, Commissioner. No Sir, Commissioner."

Picardi didn't screw up last winter under nearly identical weather conditions -- that was Daley ordering that side streets not be plowed and salt not be used. My knees STILL hurt from a fall I took -- Ace bandages still every day.

That little twisted-faced, shanty-Irish motherfucker -- and now he's axing Picardi.

Here come the non-union "outsourcing" contractors with their bribes and their kickbacks and their illegal-alien labor..

Daley is angry that we marched on city hall, we stopped being pro-active, ticket and arrest numbers are down, etc.

Do not play into his hand by writing every thing in sight. Write only those who you must, and those, like the Dept. Of Revenue who strike the first blow.

It seems to me that it is time, once again to march on city hall. This time carrying signs that air all the dirty laundry. What more do we have to lose???

A car or two (unmarked) were written parkers in 011 on Monday. If you never been to Fillmore, they could write a hundred cars around the station OR tell the ASA's and the Judges to park on the street (get them out of the parking garage) so the unmarked cars can be parked legally.

This is bullshit, SCC. Lots of tact guys write tickets to justify traffic stops that evolve into PCS, UUW and PSMV arrests. Those traffic tickets usually wind uo being transferred to TRAFFIC CT., which means tact guys wind up appearing there in unmarked squads. They should be offered the same protection from "ticket harassment" as any other on duty LEO driving their assigned (unmarked) squad to traffic ct.

Why would the officer be held liable for a parking ticket?? Shoundnt the OWNER of the vehicle be held liable??? Why the double standard, if I loan my car out and it gets a parker I'm liable even though I was not driving the car...stands to reason that the city should be held liable! HAHAHA when pigs fly...Oh they already have, I heard a SWINE FLU !!

If I were to get a ticket, on my squad car, would I have legal standing to fight the ticket at 400 W. Superior? It's not my car, it belongs to the City who has absolute liability on the parker.

Also would the union have to provide me a lawyer as this was duty related?

Off the subject

An update from Oklahoma.

The state law passed today, 37 to 9, had a few liberals in the mix, an amendment to place the Ten Commandments on the front entrance to the state capitol. The feds in D.C., along with the ACLU, said it would be a mistake. Hey this is a conservative state, based on Christian values...!
Guess what..........We did it anyway.

We recently passed a law in the state to incarcerate all illegal immigrants, and ship them back to where they came from, unless they want to get a green card and become an American citizen. They all scattered. Hope we didn't send any of them to your state. This was against the advice of the Federal Government, and the ACLU, they said it would be a mistake.
Guess what..........we did it anyway.

Yesterday we passed a law to include DNA samples from any and all illegals to the Oklahoma database, for criminal investigative purposes. Pelosi said it was unconstitutional.
Guess what........We did it anyway.

Several weeks ago, we passed a law, declaring Oklahoma as a Sovereign state, not under the Federal Government directives. That, for your information, makes Oklahoma and Texas the only states to do so. Guess what.........More states are likely to follow. Louisiana, Alabama, Georgia, both Carolina's, Tennessee, Kentucky, Missouri, Arkansas, West Virginia, just to name a few. Should Mississippi act, so willFlorida. Save your confederate money, it appears the South is about to rise up once again.

The federal Government has made bold steps to take away our guns. Oklahoma, a week ago, passed a law confirming people in this state have the right to bear arms and transport them in their vehicles. I'm sure that was a set back for the Kennedys and Ms Pelosi.
Guess what..........We did it anyway.

By the way, Obama does not like any of this.
Guess what....who cares...were doing it anyway.

And say a prayer nightly for our mayor, Richard M. Daley, the source of all evil within the City of Chicago.

It's swell that Oak Lawn still has a trailer park, not many south suburbs with stable property values can boast about that. Your pride glows like a worm.

As of 8:45 a.m. today, "Tally's" is still part of Shitcago. You must be confusing it with the "Bally's" by Centennial Park. And Tally's Corner has no savagery, just plenty of Irish and Italian Catholics. I can see why you were confused.
