Mayor Daley demanded today that Chicago’s embattled parking meter operator synchronize the time on its pay-and-display boxes and void parking tickets tied to time discrepancies.
“That’s unacceptable. They have to void those tickets,” he said.
Daley said the latest in a string of operational problems that have marred the transition to private control has prompted him to lose confidence in Chicago Parking Meters LLC.
And voters are rapidly losing confidence in Daley's "god-like" ability to raise the dead to vote democratic, create dollars out of loaves and fishes, and squeezing broke taxpayers until they whine.

Or is he offering to let everyone use the ticket voiding process that i'm sure all of the rest of the Daley/Burke Crime Family has access to?

This faux attempt at "being a man of the people", championing for the dismissal of parking tickets, is pointless.
Please return to your usual state of being an OBVIOUS asshole. This way, the citizens won't have to waste the time in debating whether or not you're "sincere" in this matter. The smart ones have had you figured out for quite some time, and the dumb ones get more and more educated by the day.
But, wait; he said more than that. He said he COULDN'T void the contract based on all these reports of mismanagement and mishandling by the company, because WE NEED THEM, they are our 'rainy day fund'.
HUH? Void the damned contract FOR CAUSE. Take back the concession. Raise the rates a bit from what they were back when this fiasco began, but let those poor souls who have to park on Lincoln or Archer or Elston or Cermak, because they live above the storefronts along those streets, have their free parking back overnight.
Give us back our few wretched holidays, when you can park free and go watch the parade or take your family to a park.
Selling off the rights was a BAD idea. Here's an opportunity to make it right and handle it smarter. So, what does he do? Says he 'can't do that'. Of COURSE he can't. The payoff money has already been spent and can't be returned.

Most major cities in Europe have used the meter box/ticket scheme for DECADES. As a life long city tax payer, I like to see a few less city workers (pensions) going to managing parking meters.... Think about the Skyway deal. Since the market crashed, do you think we would have gotten that deal....And dont get me started on our schools..
An even bigger laugh came out of me when watching Da Mare on the news demanding an apology from the Sun Times for reporting that Daley "scoffed at his latest poll rating results."
Daley says he takes polls very seriously. The only thing this Mayor takes seriously is the closing of the distance between federal prosecutors and members of his family!

Daley is UNABLE to convince the President to attend the IOC announcement of the 2016 Olympic Host City on Oct 2nd.
The arrogant IOC morons have been hinting, and the USOC have actually stated that the absence of the President at the announcement would hurt Chicago's chances of getting the 2016 Games!!!!
