Bus Driver Charged

So is his lawsuit, filed within minutes of the "attack," going to be summarily dismissed?
  • The bus driver who filed a lawsuit claiming he was beat by an off-duty Chicago police officer in September has been charged with disorderly conduct and obstruction of justice --both felonies.
It all smells of a set up and evidently, there's enough video evidence of it that the Cook County ASA's felt comfortable going forward with it.

I wonder if all the bloggers on here who are constantly ripping on States Attorney Anita Alvarez will now take back their unfounded BS and finally admit that she is not against the police with whom she has worked for her entire career and also admit that she calls 'em like she sees 'em. I'd like to think yes but not all of them are big enough men to admit when they're wrong.

Wake the fuck up! Start hitting back against the lawyers and the persons who file against you. Do not wait for the Corporation Counsel or anyone else to do it for you. You do it. Here is the link...again.

http://www.iardc.org/htr_filingarequest.html

The rule violation is Scope of Representation. The driver's lawyer knowingly and maliciously filed a lawsuit on behalf of his client to punish the officer. This lawyer should have/could have/did not/file a Motion for Discovery. Either that or he did not read the fucking thing. He should have known there was nothing to this but he filed anyway.

If the good Sgt. has been reprimanded, reassigned, suspended, etc... a lawsuit should be filed not only against the individual driver but also his attorney, the attorneys firm, the CTA bus drivers union for flapping their soup coolers on TV and tarnishing the Sgts reputation and career, and the CTA.

The same goes for every Sgt. and P.O. from SOS and the Jefferson Park Tap fiasco that was reassigned, suspended, or had his name dragged through the media. There are 40 pages of lawyers in the Yellow Pages. Go find a hungry one.

Just this week the US Supreme Court ruled that administrative statements cannot be used in criminal proceedings. Oh its just a little something about a 5th amendment and something about self incrimination. But its something your IAD and your Cook County States Attorneys Office forgot when dealing with you. I am telling ya boys and girls start hitting them back. It works.

The biggest 'code of silence' is in the attorney's camp. Most politicians, all judges and a good deal of people in charge are lawyers. They manipulate the laws, encourage lies and deception in court and fleece the public with almost no oversight. When is the last time you heard about one of these professional liars going to jail?

Everyone is lawsuit happy, including many on this blog. Everyone hoping for the next winning lottery jackpot. The public that sits on juries apparently think these outrageous payouts come from somewhere other than THEIR taxes.

Lawyers have been what's wrong with this country for too long. I can't believe the public is that naive. For the lawyer that comes on to say I'll need one some day, I'm willing to take that chance.

Alverez is merely the figurehead of a governmental unit that has been controlled by the Cook County Democrats for decades.

Getting Felony Review to approve charges when a cop is the victim ALMOST NEVER HAPPENS, barring them being shot or stabbed! The ASAs there, seem to have directions or a mindset that police officers getting battered or injured by a resisting offender in the process of making an arrest is "just part of the job". That we should expect to be injured in our line of work. BULLSHIT!

I suppose if that same bad guy went off in the court room and injured an ASA, no charges would be approved there either, right? Oh, that's different? How is that different? Shit, THAT would result in charges of ATTEMPTED MURDER.

One simple incident where there is ample videotaped evidence and numerous witnesses does not mean the ASA's Office is blazing trails in honor of protecting police officers. If anything, they are simply covering their asses from embarrassing allegations of NOT supporting the police.

Oh, and Christine? BITE ME!

Half her fucking platform was how all cpd is crooked and her plans to clean house. Wake up and smell the shit you're shoveling. Let's face it, no one in the SA office trusts or gives a fuck about anyone in the CPD.
I have been on the job 10 years and can count on one hand the State's attorney's that were genuinely good to the polce and actually fucking believe the case we present to them without talkin to us like fucking kids!
I am certainly big enough to admit that the SA's have to deal with a great deal of shit cases and police work, but don't sit here and tell us what a friend that office is to us.
Ask the detectives and hard workin police about all the fucking savages let go only to commit more crime after some fucking jagoff at felony review dumps the case.

Christine you are dumb! She is and always has been a police hater. Her whole campaign was run on anti-police BS! This case is a tap in to an empty net with no one around. Alvarez hates the police just like the majority of ASA's. Remember brothers and sisters in blue. The ASA's are not your friends they are the enemy. Go to court get in and get out. The ASA's prep u to fail. When the case gets lost you will find yourself in federal court. Not the ASA who didn't put on a good case and forget half the questions they were supposed to ask you when you were on the stand.

Oh Well what more can I say. Time to go to court for another loser thanks to the inept CCSA office.
