Yet Another "Missing" Found
An Oak Brook college student who disappeared after she left a River North bar early Sunday has been found safe.
- O’Connell became tired at the bar and left her friends, according to a flier. She told them she was taking a cab back to Oak Brook, where she lives. She was last seen outside the bar at 3 a.m. Sunday.
At a bar? But she's only 20? And how many resources were re-directed for this event? How about a re-evaluation of how these cases are reported, processed and handled?

This 20 year old (Katherine (Katie) O'Connell) was utilizing a fraudulent state identification to access a licnesed liquor premise in violation of the ILCS.
This 20 year was out on her 20th Birthday to celebrate. This 20 year old is the Granddaughter of Mary Fran Gast, Koenig & Strey GMAC Gold Coast.
The nightclub (The Underground nightclub, 56 W. Illinois St.) she was consuming alcohol while underage at, is owned by Mayor Richard M. Daley's buddy and Patrick Daley's drinking buddy (Billy Dec).
Notice how this was super high priority, until it was discovered that she was not missing, but shacking up with some coke dude from Underground.
Notice how the name of the nightclub has disappeared and the story is quickly vanishing too. CLOUT RULES!
Will Billy Dec be ticketed or fined for having minors in his club?
Will Katie O'Connell be arrested for possession of a fake id or underage drinking?

Wow, had I tried something like that when I was 20..not only would my parents be pretty pissed, but I'm sure charges would be filed.
This sets an example to everyone that doing this sort of thing is acceptable, and then we wonder why it happens more and more.
People who do this should be responsible for their actions and not worry the family who called the police and media. A hefty fine might eliminate this behavior. Who's going to take the fall for the fake ID?? The club or the floozy? Probably no one.
With a fake ID, shouldn't the Sec of State police start an independant investigation??

No mention on who found her. It was a sgt on the 3rd watch in 023 (P.C.)! What a waste, she was out partying and you know what for three days and manpower galore looking for her. You know why? She had a fake ID. I never encountered that before. Well at least since I turned 21 and didn't need one anymore to drink.

Hopefully, she learned something. Maybe not.

Now, she returns home, after a day or so of shacking up and being in a drug fueled haze, and the family and the Oakbrook P.D. will not comment on her whereabouts. Being connected is wonderful!
She was reunited with her parents on Tuesday at 7:45 pm. But Too Many Dummies asks:
(1.) Was the "hook-up" worth the embarrassment?
(2. True she was reunited with her parents, but isn't the real question: "Was she reunited with her panties?"
On the serious side, Dummies is glad this story had a happy ending!

Not going to happen. Nobody wants to be the fall guy when one of them doesn't come home and are found to have been victimized in any manner. Raising the alarm for each and all of them is called job preservation insurance. It is like any other type of insurance. It is great to have the insurance policy, in the event it is needed.

The first was parley football cards and the third was Eight Pagers. If you do not klnow what an eight pager was ask your dad.

Even though the Dupage County States attorney is reviewing this case, I doubt Criminal Charges will ever be brought and rich daddy will pay the expenses of both the CPD and Oakbrook PD.
I would like to say, to you clout weilding assholes who think by calling every boss in the police department (Oak Brook and CPD, you just don't get it. When you involve all these fricking bosses who are besides themselves and clueless as to what should be done, you are jeapordizing what ever investigation is being conducted because these stupid clueless incompetent asshole bosses know NOTHING. If the respective detectives were left alone to do the jobs they KNOW HOW to do, things would get done and they would get done the correct way./
