Has anyone been over to that "Chicago Ideas" website? It's for an event happening in October, it seems to be sponsored by the City and has all sorts of speakers and symposiums looking for ideas to make Chicago a more exciting place to work and visit (though we figured the lakefront wildings were already doing that.)
They have a fancy logo that they probably paid a pretty penny for, too:

No mystery here. The logo shows the south view of the skyline from 35th & Indiana while the viewer is facing north, one block east of CPD HQ, in the mythical section of town called Historic Bronzeville.
Instead of the skyline, I think they should put Chaulkie in the 'ol light bulb.

In fact if he gets the Casino he's so publicly pining for he's stated that none of the revenue stream would go for any debt or obligations. Totally contrary to when he was running. Sure seems like this snake is going to try and walk away from the city's obligation to properly fund our pensions. He could give 2 shuts about the hard working city employees. He's more concerned with pandering to the non tax paying, Link abusing, leeches of society.

Many comments have been made about the airports both Midway and O'Hare and DOA vs. CPD coppers! There was a meeting today to talk about airports,with the mayor's top people. The Result:
* Midway is still FOR SALE.
* It was noted what the assistant commissioner at Midway is doing with CPD vehicles by taking off equipment and decommissioning new vehicles for other use. (The powers that be are none to happy).
* The airport commissioner Rosemarie Andolino who is at O'Hare but runs both airports is slated soon for for retirement/resignation after a deal was made with shortshanks to be sure that Rose gets a pension based on the huge salary as commissioer.
* Midway and O'Hare will be selling liquor on the unsecured sides (The side where you wait for passengers), in order to collect more money,but it was discussed the massive problems that will be created with drunkenness and disturbances and that CPD and DOA both play an integral part in preventing problems.
* The mayor's office already has people working directly for the bosses at both airports that report the follies directly to the mayor's chief of staff, as they were told they would keep their jobs as they are preventing an embarrassment for the mayor and the city by watching and reporting the bumbling antics.
* Rahm is not daley but understands he has to keep some of the idiots employed in order to keep the promise made to the head of the daley crime family.
* SCC and you will not be surprised to know that this blog is checked twice everyday by the people in charge at city hall and the inspector general has launched investigations with information provided on this great blog.
* The airport commander is well liked and doing a great job, but will remain and possibly move up to the next step.

And I bet you've never 1)had a car accident, 2) slammed a finger in a door or cabinet, 3) bruised an elbow on a fixed object, 4)gotten dust or something worse in your eye, 5) tripped over something, 6)hammered your finger instead of the nail, 7)bumped your head on a low rise...
It was a MEAT SLICER. If you don't curl your fingers away from it, you get cut. Especially if you're a teenager with no experience with them. It's called an accident.
