Kilt Run
Time to run, walk or just kind of mosey a 3K event this September 18th:
- A shady course that starts and finishes in the Norwood Park neighborhood. There will be water stations available through out the course.
This is a great Chicago event as there is something for everybody, a team entry to compete within your Company or with another, or simply to have some fun running/walking with your friends; there is opportunity for families to enter and have fun together and there is the chance to prove yourself or just have fun as an individual.Once there please invite all your friends and family who may be interested in taking part. In addition by signing up here you will receive the most up to date information on this years Chicago Kilt Run.
We really hope to make this an amazing event and are looking for several hundred people to run with us this year.
The Charitable organization for 2011 will be the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation and select local schools.

Great time I did it last year....
Does that mean you will be dead somewhere along the run?(westside!)
kilt run....
that must be a south side thing :)
Are they gonna make the kilt part of the summer uniform?
In addition to benefiting our Chicago Police Memorial Foundation, private schools having their students participate will receive funds back to support their individual (non taxpayer supported) events.
IF enough people join in this worthwhile event, it will break a Guinness Book of Worlds Records for the most people participating in a Kilt Walk/Run presently held by Canada.
This event is the brainchild of an active Chicago copper who has put a lot of his own time, funds and effort to support and contribute back to our CPMF.
(Last years proceeds benefited our CPD Chaplains Ministry.)
So, as you can see, it's one-of-our-own unselfishly working on our behalf. Let's let him know, we too, have his back.
Please support this worthwhile cause in any way you can.
On a personal note, THANKS, N.Mc for your hard work and dedication.
Last but not least, THANKS, SCC for this post in support of this event.

Not to be confused with the Englewood Run 4 Your Life where someones cousin always gets Kill't

This will not work as a matter of fact, that is what I believe.
